Since someone posted my FTP at http://hacxsearch.cjb.net/
People have been DLing crap off it constantly, causing me to go crazy. Since that is my normal connection, that would slow any gaming, or whatever, down to the point of unabillity. Therefore to end the madness, Ive had to shut the FTP down every time i wanted to play some multiplayer.
This constant crap of people downloading off me everytime I run the prog, and having to make me cause the people that I host pics for agrivation, I figure screw it.
FTP is now PRIVATE, there is a username and password u gotta use to gain access, i'll get to that in a bit.

I would like to know if it was any of you that submitted my FTP to that site, because thats how it works. Someone submits, and they scan.

All pics that i host will now have the addy http://mistax.net/yourpichere.jpg

All file downloads ATM are down, because I can't figure out the server problem, where it just seems to stop the transfer....

About the password and stuff, you're gonna have ta PM me for it, and if I like ya, you'll get it.

That is all.

It's possible to slow down MistaX's connection?:eek: Well, who woulda thought that's possible?:P

J/k, anyhoo, thanks MistaX.;) Could you please update me when/if you change it? Thank you.:)

200 Users downloading stuff will slow down ANYTHING

Man that's a pisser Mista...I haven't DLed anything from you(although I was going to get that page making program untill I saw how big it was and I didn't feel like leaving my connection on(I have unlimited usage but you know)for 2 days strait...)and I cirtainly didn't give the address to anyone...

Hope everything works out Mista!

BTW, ohh poor boy, it slows down your connection? You know DSL speed is way too slow...

J/K...if this all happened to me, I would have negative speed lol

The link works fine:

Hi Oliver,

I guess you are using Apache. Apache has a configuration
option in the httpd.conf, that limits the connection (download time) for
a download
(AFAIK it is set to 300 seconds). The rational behind this is,
you don't want to have persons with very slow or hanging connections
to block your apache processes on your webserver. So for
your image server this might be set to 20 seconds. If you don't have the
image
within 20 seconds, the apache server closes the connection to be
still available for other requests. I don't remember the exact
option name. Had this problem once, but in a different context.

Are you asking if we'll have to pay to use MistaX's FTP?

If so, no.:D Well, he isn't chargin' me.:P

me neither, then! :P

i was curious... suddently he had this mad idea... we never know!

Back in the day ... my mp3 FTP server was posted to a web based FTP search engine. I had it limited to 30 connection with 10 downloads each ... they were all full 24/7 for a couple weeks before I decided to shut'er down. They were pulling roughly 3.4mbit the whole time too. I was impressed (:

Just PM him and ask him for a username/password to his FTP, and he'll give it to you, but only if he like you(qualification you might not meet:lol::)).
