As its name suggests, a midsize coupe between A4 and A6 ranges to rival CLK, 3-Series. Full four-seater, styling similar to Nuvolari concept. Cabriolet version (to replace current A4 cabrio) to follow.

Audi A5

The A5 is expected to be launched in 2007 as the Mercedes CLK's and BMW 3-series Coupe's counterpart and will be placed between the A4 and A6. With the A5, the Audi 80/90 based coupe will have a worthy successor. Its exterior shows resemblances with the Novulari, the big coupe Audi shown at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. Many parts will be retrieved from the future A4 and the bodywork will entirely be made of aluminium, in contrary to the regular A3/A4/A6s.

Engines

Audi has a lot of engines available for the A5. For now, the 2.0 160 BHP TDI, 2.7 V6 180 BHP TDI and the 3.0 225 BHP TDI would suite the A5, as well as the 2.0 FSI and the 2.0 200 BHP FSI-T(turbo charged) engine. There will also be some V6s available, like the 3.2 FSI from the current A4, and a 300 BHP 3.6 FSI. There might be an S5 as well, with the well-known 4.2 litre V8, which might offer 350 BHP making it a direct competitor of the CLK 55 AMG and the M3.

Convertible

The A4 convertible will be successed by the A5 convertible, which is expected in 2008 and will be equipped with the same engines as the Coupe.

I prefer the headlights on the first picture best.

Wow yw.

You know it'd be kinda good next time you create a thread to include a wee bit more than just the pics.

Yeah, that's a gerenal theme of posting in a couple of his threads...

For doing a Google search, there is little info on the car:

And yes, I agree with everyone else. To give info as well as pics is very ideal.

They stole the headlights/hoodlines/upper grille from the Solara. Which is not a good thing.

Its not the best looking car i've seen, its a bit like a stretched 'new' TT.

Give it the 4.2 V8 and AWD and you might have a car finally worthy of the 'big Q' Quattro badge.

Thats what I was thinking.
The last 3 don't look too bad, but the first 2 are too "soft".

i dont like the roof line, the height of the rear finders and the size of the top grill.

it needs a v8 though for sure.
