I've already used the search function to look up the Audi R10 but have only found comparisons to other LMS Cars & the like. Know it has gobs of torque but gets outperformed in long straight aways. But in your opinion gtp, what do you think of the R10. What are your pros and cons? I'm deciding whether or not to grab it but pricetag at 4.75 million i'd rather be more informed. :)
 
It drives good once tuned, but I prefer most of the other Le Man's cars. If you don't have the 908 I'd recommend it, as the R10 is a prize car for one of the 24 hour races.

Cheers man i've been grinding for 3-4 days now to save up. Just going to do the enduro to grab it, instead of shell out nearly 5 million. 👍
 
I like it. Has a lap time indicator, and massive amounts of torque means that if its tuned right, and youre a good driver, you can own most people in short tracks. It's real-world appeal was it was substantially more efficient.
 
Pros:

*(Subjectively) My favourite car in the history of for evaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
*Amazing torque and high speed stability.
*(Subjectively) Looks astonishing.
*It's quite a historical car.
*It will teach you a thing or too about throttle control. Or kill you in the process.
*(Subjectively) Though not extremely accurately modelled, the sound is still pretty amazing.
*(Subjectively) It's an Audi! :D.

Cons:

*Slower than all of the other LMPs. Strange, given that it was only slower than the Peugeot 908 HDi, and that from like 2008 only. It's odd that it's outpaced by the R8s and the Pescarolos, because with all due respect to them, the R10 is faster. And it's not me who says it, it's the fastest lap they posted at Le Mans. Terrible mistake by PD.
*Very expensive addition to your collection. But, if you're a fan of Audi and Le Mans this won't be an issue.
*Gearbox is, at least to me, messed up. That's PDs doing there again :rolleyes:.

My 2 cents.
 
I kinda have my eye on this car too, having aquired a few of the LMP/Group C cars recently. I always like the Audi R10, but it's between this, the BMW LMR and Nissan R89c, which currently is in my UCD and barely 3.8million.........decisions...
 
The R10 is a bit slow compared to the other LMP's, and sounds terrible in game.

Even so: it's fun to drive, and the open cockpit view is awesome, not to mention it has a laptime counter so you can drive with ALL of your HUD off:)

R89C beats them all in performance.
 
It's a shame that the R18 motor sound is so messed up. Love the car but other LmP's are easier to drive.

A patch fixed it. At release it had 6 gears.

Not only that, I actually feel it a bit disproportionate and weirdly adjusted. I feel it tops out too quick.
