With the Audi R8 event coming up I really have no great setup for the car. I'm unable to find any setups for it so does anyone have any good tunes for this car that I could possibly get?
Hey, I would be happy share my tunes with you on each track. I am in Tournament 3. You will have to catch me when I am online or in the chat though. Also VentureDenny has a setup : https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3039745#post3039745
I haven't tried ot myself, but I am sure its better than stock. Just to set a bench mark for yourself A fast lap at PP600 Suzuka in the R8 is 2'19.*** A fast lap at PP600 HSR is 1'16.***
Other than that, find me on the Chat and we will talk setup.

Yea, I've stumbled across a great method for making the R8 turn in more agressively...I don't want to give it all away till maybe after the event and trust me it's more rewarding to know you've set up the car yourself....but well here is a hint -negative toe to the rear *shhhhh* this acually works for any AWD understeer machine to loosen the rear end, works for me so just throwing it out there...
That's because you can't do it that way.I've made bad experiences with curing AWD understeer through making the back end loose.
That's because you can't do it that way.If you want to induce oversteer you need to tighten the rear springs and/or dampers, not loosen them. This will reduce the amount of weight that can be transferred to the rear wheels, thus reducing rear grip during acceleration, making the car oversteer if you're accelerating out of a corner. Stiffer springs = less grip. This applies to the front as well (to reduce/increase understeer). See Scaff's tuning guide for an explanation on this subject. Negative toe for the rear will give you less oversteer BTW, not more. If you want more (power and liftoff) oversteer you need positive values there.
Sorry, I was unclear. With "making the back end loose", I meant making it slide in corners, not actually loosen springs and dampers. Thanks for the explanation though. That's because you can't do it that way.If you want to induce oversteer you need to tighten the rear springs and/or dampers, not loosen them.
I'm working on an R8 for Suzuka 600PP BTW, anyone care to test it?
I already published it.Yes, I would very much like to testdrive your R8 tune. Thanks.
