So I recently bought this car and it seems every time I try to do something, my PS3 crashes. Painting, changing parts/maintenance all cause my ps3 to go black and not come back. Even if you try to enter a race or lobby, it just loads infinitely. I tested this over and over, I even bought another and the same things happened. Then i tried the same things with other cars and it worked perfectly. I've never seen anything like this. Can anybody test this to confirm if it's the car or my ps3?

Edit: The AVANT (wagon), forgot to mention. The RS6 sedan works perfectly fine.

How dirty is your disc? This happened to me with a BRZ, and a quick clean of the disc sorted it out.

I just tested this for you.
I didn't have the car, so for 117k credits I figured I'ld check it out.

Sorry to say but I've found no issues.
Purchased it fine, painted it, changed wheels, bought suspension and tuned it, changed oil, and drove it in Free Run.

You could try deleting your installed data.
By that I'm not talking deleting patches via the Game Data Utility folder, I'm talking the data which is installed to your HDD from the disc.
(In-game Options menu) 'Start' button > Options > Game Data > Delete Install Files

See if that helps.
Only small short-term pain involved while it reads the disc and re-installs it to the HDD.

If no joy I'ld try your consoles Safemode.
Use Options 3 and then 4 (Restore File System and Rebuild Database)
The official video in the link below will tell you everything you need to know.

No need to be scared using these options, it's actually quite healthy for your PS3 to under-go these operations from time to time.

If still no joy, and it's that important to you, I would look at testing another copy of GT6 to check the issue isn't your disc.

Thanks for that. I think I'm going to do all of these because my ps3 hasn't been performing well at all recently.

Edit: Aaaaannd it's gone. The car is invisible now.

You mean like completely invisible? :D what did u do?

Yep. This was in v1.00 since i figured may as well delete the game data while I'm at it. Went into the store to buy a new one to test, saw an empty white rotating platform where a car should be. I bought a "green" one and it froze in the black room while it delivered my invisible boatmobile for five minutes. I am now updating it back to v1.20. 5 hours left 👍

Holy cow. That has to be the most insane thing I have ever heard. Hope this is fixed for you, it is a fun car indeed!

It's not going so good. The bar hasn't moved yet and the estimated update time has increased. I think GT6 is having a stroke.

Yikes. Is it at a point in which it lets you cancel? If so,do that and retry I would have to guess.
