I want this car. I will give you stuff for it, but if that's all you want, I would like to inform you that I am out of matte black paint.

I don't have any tickets. Whenever I get a ticket, I use it and it's gone.
I don't understand how I can now keep track of which ones I did get, they're gone.
I do have a bunch of special coupons for restoration, oil change, engine overhaul, etc.
I have Cr., but I assume everyone has those. So offering to buy a car and trade it would be pointless... I suppose. My dealerships don't have the ones I want. Not sure what to do about it... seeings how I can't give away my "big" cars...

Edit: I read up on this ticket thing... I have completed many many races and I just found out now that you get a 1000 ticket for every 100 races... I don't recall ever seeing one, I never thought these tickets had much value...
All this would be so much easier if the cars I want to sell would show up in the online used car dealership so someone else could buy them.
Instead, they go into oblivion and other cars appear there that were NOT actually owned by other players, but by "virtual owners"...
Like I say, I do have doubles of some cars that I can't give away if I tried. I can't sell them either so I don't get Cr. for them, the only option is to "remove from garage", which is essentially throwing the car away...
This is very annoying. Being able to trade expensive cars would solve so many problems for me, because I can get them easily enough. If it were possible, I would trade the Audi for a X2010....

Apparently you have no concept of Backing up your gamesave, sending whatever, then restoring your gamesave so you still have what you just sent???

Also, it is very beneficial IMO, to start another account in which you work through the game winning prizes. When you win some car, DON"T get in it. Leave it as 0/0/0, and it will be valuable trading stock. The same goes for Tickets, DON'T open them on that account.

What you do, is once you've won some good stuff, backup that gamesave, send the item to your Main gamesave, restore your alternate gamesave. You can that way send valuable stuff every day to yourself. You can keep sending the same Ticket, over and over again this way.

Or carry on like you are doing now..............

I do have a concept of it, it's called an exploit, a way to cheat without Gamesharks and crap like that. A loophole in the game's structure, if you will, that enables certain workarounds for things intentionally left impossible to accomplish within the game. I think it's cumbersome, awkward to do and wrong.
I did that in GT3 where I never saved my game unless I took first place. The result was a 100% completion with a 100% win ratio and every car owned in multiple garages...
The way that GT5 autosaves suggested to me from the beginning not to bother with that.

I suppose you all want a Car Ticket, then after I send it, you would use it and backup your save and keep the ticket? Why bother getting it then? Just dupe the ones you got and don't ask for new stuff...

If you have the car I want, inform me whether you want to trade something for it. I did NOT ask for a lecture in cheating.

How's the weather up on that High Horse? You'll not need anything from me, or the rest of us terrible Exploiters. Whatever........:dopey:

Also, do you really think anything you are trading from anyone else won't be the result of "Exploiting"? Way to alienate your potential pool of Traders.:dunce:

Ya, sorry I'm on such a high horse.

Let's remember this started when you told me basically I'm an idiot for not keeping tickets.
I'm asking you to consider that the only reason I'm asking to trade a car is because I'm not willing to wait until I randomly come across it. So if someone has it, awesome.
I'm asking you to also imagine I am unable, for whatever reason, to keep multiple garages for this purpose. It's just crosses the line for me to keep multiples, let's leave it at that. If I had time to maintain multiples, I would probably have an easier time just finding the cars myself, right?

Sooo, having been an idiot who doesn't keep a backup game save, and a real by-the-book player, what do I have to offer anyone to trade? Nothing.

Any better suggestions?

Well, instead of telling people what you don't have how about telling us what you do have? It's one thing saying 'well what do you want' but it could take forever, with having no idea what you have it's purely a guessing game. Do you not keep a list of your cars on the myGranTurismo website, that would be a good start.

My dear SWERV_GRIFFIN.

My elitist attitude as you call it has not ever made me any friends. Obviously not out here to make friends. Your attitude sucks big time, I don't need to act haughty to think so.
The negativity within the threat of shunning anyone who would consider trading with me baffles me.
Perhaps people will now think twice to even speak to me now that the mighty SWERV has disapproved? What's the matter with you? We're here discussing a game. A GAME. A pastime. Sure, you can get all obsessed and weird about it, but if it gives you this much grief to encounter other people, their views and opinions that you need to start hating, perhaps you should play a game where the object is to shoot others.

As for everyone else reading this: don't bother trading with me, you might get reported for doing so. Sheesh.

How is that for a light mood? Keep your precious cars.

+1

..and almost certainly why trading became more restrictive.

On a happier subject, my UCD has just popped up an RS6 '02 in Avus Silver Pearl Effect.

I've nabbed it if you are still looking for one.

Well, the thing is, I don't wish to be the reason anyone doesn't get to trade with SWERV. If having duplicate games and restoring backup saves is the right way to play GT5, then nobody told me this. I am not saying it shouldn't be done, nor do I have a problem with anyone who does. I also don't mind if anyone's attitude doesn't match mine, I'm pretty much used to that. So, if everyone can get over their egoes and forgive me if I just speak my mind within my own threads and just have a good laugh at the end of the day, by all means, I do want to trade with you all.
If you choose not to, I'm not put out by it.
I'll just remain happy in the knowledge that I'm a bottomfeeder under the traders, and try to be as respectful of the rest of you all as I can muster in the future.

I'd suggest to everyone to just carry on and do whatever they feel like. I'm all for everyone playing the game however they choose.

I don't really think alot of people care if they trade with me anyway. I mostly just donate. I edited my post to remove negativity.

I don't really care much about the car collection at this point. I have literally deleted over 150,000,000 worth of cars in the last month , just to make room. At some point in the game, a player has everything they need......

I sent you a Friend Request, Synapticgap. I'll send you an Audi RS6 for free, no strings attached.

Ya, pal, we're totally good. I hold no grudge, like I said, and if you wanna be friends, I am happy to oblige. I did get a 1000 Ticket last night. It's yours, just say if you want it.

Sup NOOB! Since you and Swerve have made up, let me know if you need any tuning help, or whatever, feel free to add me and join my lounge or find me on the Ring. I'm always willing.:sly:

I restored the Audi RS6 to 0.0 Miles, and have added every removable part that can be added to the car. The color already looked excellent in my opinion, Indigo Blue Pearl, so I left that alone. I added BBS RE-MG Wheels, and painted them Blue Chrome, which I think accents the car nicely. Enjoy the car. I just sent it. Remember to save and back up your gamesave to a USB after receiving your stuff.

I do really appreciate your offer of the Ticket 1000, but I already have quite a few of them. Thanks, though.

I also sent you (2) Matt Black Paints, (2) Matte Black Paints, and (1) Nero Nemesis ( another type of Matte Black from the Lamborghini Aventador).
Now you have some more Trading Stock. It is Thanksgiving time, the table is always overflowing.:)

Regards, SWERV_GRIFFIN

They are a popular car, I'm sure that you'll have no problem finding a new home for it if you list it available for trade.:)
