Just spreading the word to any Aussies and New Zealanders out there that my team is usually running these rooms on a nightly basis where one of the leaders is choosing a particular car, usually a much less commonly used car and people involved have a set time to purchase build and tune the car. We have done this a few times now having fun and I think it really helps people to either see where their base tuning abilities are at, also to negate a bit of the lag involved with drag racing online. There has already been quite a few suprises in what people have come up with and so far it has shown some people to be much faster than their connection allows them to be at the top level.

Usually I am hosting these lobbies due to needing a good solid host so it's really for our side of the globe only as some countries put a heck of a strain on the rooms and can clash with others with lesser connection. Be warned though any trouble or ruckus will be met with one stern warning as we are trying to keep a good vibe going and keep our small but thriving community alive. Anyone wishing to take part either send myself or BlackoutMaterial a friend request mentioning the '-X- Car Challenges' and we shall take it from there.

The rooms are usually run from about 9pm EST, 7pm WST and 8:30pm CST. We are only in the early stages of running this but the more fluid it gets, the more cars we'll be able to do in one night. We are trying to use cars people have not tuned already and all have been brand new from the dealership starting with 0 miles, this adds the twist of not being able to check leaderboards and/or using tunes already run in. Beware anyone trying to cheat by using these or any other methods will not be allowed to take part in the event and may lead to a ban from future events(based solely on my discretion). We are trying to use a voting system for cars but for times' sake most cars are chosen by myself and a few senior members of my team and rooms. Feel free to join in or even just come and watch the racing, there may be a fastest person but there really are no winners so there is no pressure to compete.

In the future once people are more confident with their tuning there may be prizes for best effort or best tune judged by senior room entrants but for now we are just looking to build on the small but strong community we have in our part of the world.

Cheers, xx xx.

Cars used so far:
Audi S3 '02
Scion FR-S '12
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96

Good that you are using less used cars. I would have joined, but sadly I can't due to my "location"

Facts are facts mate, lag kills lobbies and kills peoples' impression of a fair lobby, maybe more people round here should have explained that a lot more than just 'treeing', or maybe they just had no clue. Just like DUCKY getting 'treed' by me in a US lobby last night.

I'm also pleased that you guys are using lesser used cars. Great to see that. I'll have to check out one of these rooms soon bro. Sounds like fun!

Because of how they programmed the game in a way that you just can't play people who are overseas.

But why PD, when you can say PSN? I know that, it'sjust how online is.

Yeah and it SUCKS. But better than nothing I suppose.

Umm, I think that's the internet's fault bud lol.

That is kinda correct. Like if you play NFS with people overseas, there isn't much lag compared to GT5. But I guess you can't really compare the two.

Dude I just love debating  Karo knows that

Sounds like politician talk.

Oh god don't start lol

:eek::eek: please don't give him any ideas

Swara, if you're reading this, there are many things the world doesn't need any more of. Politicians are one of them.

Edit: back on topic - @op, glad to see your car selection. Gt5 has over 1000 cars to choose from, many of which never leave people's garage. There are a few movements to bring attention to these lesser used cars and I commend you for your efforts. 👍

This might be true; however, you may not be playing with the same people on gt5 as on NFS. You also need to take into consideration the fact that some people use Dollar Store internet, and the fact the the internet signal in not traveling hardware, but via satellite when playing with folks over seas.

Also our system with ghosting and drag racing makes small bouts of lagg seem much worse
