Australia as well as several countries have a very fine linage (spelling) I dont see why we shouldnt get some more aussie models

I too agree that an aussie DLC would be nice.
Maybe the Interceptor from Mad Max??
But the Holden HSV Maloo R8 is also ok.

Now that PD have got the DLC ball rolling....

How about some more aussie cars!

Only 3 standards to represent us?

How about a new Falcon and commodore and/or historical cars...XY GTHO, XA-XC coupe, HK monaro, A9X torana etc...

...even a track! Phillip Island, Bathurst or eastern creek.

How about it Kaz!:)

Mmm, no.

Yes, I'm from Melbourne, but having driven our own 'local' cars, I find there is much to be desired (gearbox, power, fuel consumption, chassis, drivetrain, ect).

They have the Monaro, but I know a guy who has one and he loves the look of it, but it drives like s**t (according to him), this is the modern '04 Monaro or something. V Whatever.

I would in theory not really care, but, there wouldn't be a market for it, so I think make more Euro cars like the majority of us really want.

Holden Efijy and it has to be premium if it were DLC I would get it.

About them being based on American cars, the new camero is based on the monaro, and is even slower. They should include v8 supercars, and monaro ute

Definitely yes, PD should just go for the V8 Supercars licence, I doubt it would cost them much and since it's only between 2 different manufacturers they would only have to model 2 premiums then change the skins for a few different teams, they could even do some earlier cars as well then throw in Bathurst and there's a £10 DLC pack that would put a smile on everyones face.

Issue is codemasters owns this license.

Then why does forza have v8 supercars if its owned by codemasters

Because they are owned by the richest people out their "Microsoft".

Plus new license would cost and arm and a leg and mean DLC with be about $25 in America while it is $50 in Australia an otherparts of the word

Forza has a cars that look like V8SC, but don't have any offical team car's etc...

they are official cars it even states on the cover of forza 4 10 team cars

Edit ill list a couple of official cars

#19 mother energy racing team
#5 ford.performance racing
#9 sp tools racing
#17 dick johnson racing team
#4 irwin racing

These are official teams in a game not made by code masters

Sorta, the Camero is based on GM's Zeta platform, developed in australia. The Commodore and Camero are the only models built of it.

The monaro isn't built anymore, the VZ (CV8-R) being the last...the V series of monaros were sold in america as the pontiac GTO, and (as a HSV verion) in europe as the Vauxhall Monaro VXR.

Oddly enough, the VT-VZ commodore was based off the Opel Omega B...so in a twisted way, the monaro is a Omega coupe!

And not since the last of the XY falcons, has an aussie car been based of American cars. Ever falcon since the XA has been an Australian design, and the Commodore was based of various Opal/Vauxhall platforms.

I will not vote yes because the V8 Supercars part, normally it would be yes (didn't vote at all)

And what's wrong with the V8 supercars part?

I know I'd love to have them and Bathurst so I can race the Bathurst 1000.

I'd definitely spend money on some extra Aussie content, we've built some some quality cars over the years

That's a bait if i ever saw one. By the way, we only drink out of Schooners down here (not much of a cricket fan, but we apparently did well against India).

Silverstone is a nice track too, heck lets just see more real life tracks thrown in (but don't forget Bathurst)

We don't have schooners down here we call them pints. Varies state to state...

I'd pay $50 if it included Bathurst.

I think so anyway back on topic does anyone know if the v8 supercars are licenced to any developers? Only recent game I seen them in is forza 4

As far as I know it's codemasters with the V8 supercar series

Codemasters hasn't released a V8 supercars (TOCA to other countries) since about 2005. Today the only racing sim with V8's is Forza

They may not have released anything for a while but that's not saying they are gonna hang onto the license because they can

If they had hung on to the licence then forza wouldnt have v8 supercars in them

I don't rate them that highly, plus I prefer road cars. "Even better, V8 Supercar!" used in the poll is not how I feel at all. Racing in Australia was more interesting IMO when it was a Australian Touring Car Championship with mixed classes rather than V8 Supercars.

So while I wont mind a a couple V8 Supercars included (1 Holden, 1 Ford with livery options) I much prefer some road cars modern and old.

That's a fair call and I tend to agree. We don't need all the supercar field but a couple from each would be nice. Same goes for our road cars, a little HSV, FPV and some of our classics would tickle my fancy just right

Forza 4 has 2011 models of both Fords and Holdens. 5 of each I think. Does anyone know why we lost the F6 if they kept the SS?

GT only lost FPV which was the dealer of the F6. However, they didn't remove Ford AU probably just because of the V8. No idea really
