After a couple of months...or a month..I forgot how long it's been...Of playing this game, i've come to the conclusion that it is ONE of the most bad azz drifing/drifting games i've played in a looong while...Initial D the arcade is the only one that comes close, or perhaps that Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero knock off arcade game..Whatever it's called:D :D :D :D :D
 
I personally didnt like it too much. A Miata shouldnt have its tail end out at 30 MPH on something I would barely call a turn. But its still pretty good...

drifting ???i dont think so , man , yes, u can drift in that game, but there is no feel about i t.
I tried it, it is quie nice but not that enough for the people who wanna playing it as GT3...........totally different.!!!!!
 
The ability to use aftermarket parts company's, is a definate plus. The fact that a large GReddy turbo, and a large HKS turbo make the SAME hp, is lame. All the exhaust's make the same sound, the handling is either hit or miss, and for me, it's a miss.

Bottom line, two thumb's down.
 
Ok, apparently I need to define what drifting is. Drifting is sliding the rear of the car out around a turn and controling the slide with throttle, brake, and countersteering. So, are any of these things possible in AM.......NO!!!
It's what I like to call, drifitng for non drifters. You cannot control the slide with any of the above methods. If you want a good drifting game then do it the simulation way with GT2 or GT3.;)
 
I rented it a LOOONG time ago and finished it in two days...that's how long it was good for.
 
This game, in my opinion, is one of those love-hate games. One minute I'm loving the stylish graphics of the unique cell-shading and the next minute I'm wanting to throw the controller across the room because the physics of the game add more difficulty to the already difficult game play of some of the tracks. But all in all I have to say that when it comes to gameplay, graphics and plain old enjoyability, there is nothing quite like Auto Modellista.

it's an alright game.....I'm more on the downside of it

the use of cell shaded graphic was done rather well....I kinda liked how it looked pretty good

the addition of body kits and mods and stuff was pretty neat....especially with how u can see the differences (aka brake colours)

the handling of hte cars are ridiculous...totally unrealistic and u can like.....coast on the walls if ur turns are short and still be in first

the coolest think i liked was the explosions from the exhaust due to exhaust buildup! ^_^

yup, this game sucks. finished the game the first day in 6hrs. tuning is ok, but limted compared to txr3. dont buy this aweful game, get somehting else.
 
Ahh - it's a bit of fun fluff. The fast street course are good, although the hill courses will make you pull your hair out. I picked up a discounted 2nd hand copy so I didn't get the rip off issue. The dress up parts and custom paint are good for a laugh.

There are better, and far worse, titles out there.
 
I just picked this game up for a little go yesterday, I think the most fun part about it is customising your car. I have a nice black 700bhp NSX with all Marga (Is is magra, or marga?) Hills bodykit. I also have gray TRD widebody kit supra with about 700bhp. And for a laugh I tuned a Vitz/Yaris to about 320bhp, slapped some sard bodykit on it and it has some mean headlights. I kinda feel like taking some pictures of my cars now.

On the other hand, the handling is just wierd and the tuning modifications are just generic, having no performance difference on manufacturer.
 
3/10... I just hated it.. 50 bucks cost way too much for it. Maybe for 20 bucks it would be a better deal but anyways i didnt like it at all. Beat it the first day i have it.

I totally agree.. I thought it would be so cool since capcom was making it but it turn out to be a BIG disappointment at least to me. I know alot of people who think its a great game to them i dont think so one bit.
