Automatic tuning tips?

When you add horsepower to a car they tend to hover at the redline with lots of wheelspin instead of shifting up a gear. This is especially an issue with FF cars. Is there a way to tune out this behavior? Thanks to anyone who can help.
 
Gears are too short and or the ratio is wrong.

Tips and advice would’ve to have a larger final gear and smaller gear ratios, the smaller number the gear ratio is, the less likely it’ll have wheel spin.

Something you might also need to change is the ECU power or power restrictor so that the torque curve is more friendlier to the FF issues.

Add a limited slip differential. My favourite is the one way LSD since it's open on deceleration and allows the car to rotate more easily. But you might need something stronger if you have a lot of power.

You can also add more weight to the front of the car to increase the proportion of the total weight carried on the powered wheels and lower the ride height to reduce the amount of weight shift towards the rear on acceleration.

If you still get wheelspin you have to go easier on the throttle or increase the strength of the traction control.

I tried these suggestions and even with maximum traction control (which bogs down the car) I'm still getting wheelspin in a straight line. I put a Evo Final engine in a maxed out 97 FTO. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be....

Are there exact gear ratios you might recommend?

And there we have it. Anything north of ~300bhp is pretty pointless in a FWD car. They just can't cope with the power.

How about firming up rear shock compression and front extension. That way you can limit weight transfer.

Well, I wanted for aesthetic reasons to avoid racing tires and changing the bodywork but racing softs, widebody, and aero parts helped reduce the wheelspin so that I could get lap times similar to a similarly maxed out RX7. (About 2 seconds shy at Grand Valley South but the RX7 has about 1000 HP vs 800 for the FTO)
