There are a number of servies on my computer that need to be started to connect to my wireless network, e.g. DHCP Client. All of these required services are set to automatic, but still do not start up when i start windows. I have now resorted to Hibernating my PC instead of shutting it down, so i don't have to do it manually whenever I start up.

What could be wrong?

Possibly check the event log (Start->Control Panel (classic view)->Adminstrative tools->Event Viewer) to see if these services are starting, then crashing?

Do you have any "optimization" software that might be deeming these services as uncessary and shutting them off?

go to Start>run>

Type "msconfig"

Click on the appropriate ones.

A more indepth approach, is Start>run>

Type "services.msc"

I start them (and set them to automatic) by using the latter of DA's methods. Start > Run > Services.msc
