I'm looking for 3 good drifters for a display team. To apply post a good quality video of you drifting at cote d'azur. I will then choose the 3 best.
I will supply cars and I will host the server. HOWEVER! I am not a drifter. I'm the tuner ;)

This isn't a Team Thread therefore it doesn't belong in The Team forum, it belongs in the General drifting forum.

Team NRG?

Reminds me of the NRG 900 from the GTA series.

If we get the cars are we to record ourselves or will you record us?

So so vague...

Seal was right, READ that sticky thread.

You record it, I have no capture card.

Just me or is this thread kinda

Sorry bud but this poor fourm has had a flood of threads like this.

Just a good drifter hmmm? Why not a great drifter? As i tune my own cars, i wouldn't be as sure of the car drifting your tune. i tune my cars to grip on sports hards then put on comfort hard tires to drift, so most of my drift tunes are hard for others to use because they are tuned for control and require skill to drift.

So you're going to tune the cars for drift, even though you don't drift yourself??

You do realize that drift tunes basically come down to driver preference, and that it's always best to tune your car yourself. I'm a bit of a hypocrit for sayin that, cause I use other people's tunes on a few of my cars...but I still tweak them to my own liking.

And you want to make a show team, so I can assume you want to make videos...but you don't have a capture card of your own? So, basically, you're looking for 3 top level drifters, who have their own capture cards, and are going to put on drifting displays...but will be driving for "your team", using "your tunes"....good luck with that dude. Sounds like someone's been watching too much anime...real GT5 drift teams don't really work the way they do in the cartoons.

It's been my experience that most teams are run by people that don't have a driver's license, or any experience racing at all. For the most part, it's users posing with their cars, talking a good game before letting the excuses fly after the game is over.

The decent teams don't need a thread for recruitment, as the decent drivers are asking to be part of the team, not the other way around.

I'm sure you have good intentions, but take a few steps back and examine the body of work.

Isn't very impressive, is it?

For comparison, the Fusterkluc Speed Stars require an audition, and even that challenge isn't for everyone. Not everyone uses the same standards of measurement of performance that I do, but I've found that the ones that excelled at my challenge are the drivers I enjoy being around and racing against.

Welcome to GTPlanet.

The Speed Stars will beat you when you're ready.

@McClarenDesign: This ain't racing if you didn't notice.

@obsessive rules: You don't even drift & you want to make a drift team... 👎

Back to topic, this thread should be closed as the OP hasn't posted anything lately & keeping it open it pointless.

Y'know what. Just close it, thinking of it you're all right. This was pointless, learned my lesson. :(

This thread was there.

My advice, since you're a tuner, would be to offer your services to well-established teams, and in the tuning forums. If you're any good, it won't take long for you to find work.

You can also highlight your skills by participating in several threads on the board, such as the Car of the Week thread, which would allow you to tune all manner of vehicles and styles.

Get some experience, build some relationships, then take what you've learned and apply it against the competition. Peer reviews will improve your skills, provide new insights, and you'll likely meet some pretty cool people. Then, if you want another headache, you'll at least be better educated and prepared to start a team.

Man who are you talking to, and what are you trying to say...? You've confused me... THIS AIN'T RACING!!

the same applies to drifting and drifting teams. At no point has racing been mentioned, except to mention that I enjoy racing the people on my team. Also, if you look, you'll notice my team is based around a Touge style track, typical of drifting events.

Am I missing something?

Heck no, the same does not apply for drifting teams... don't compare what you do with your team with what you think should be done with a drift team. Tuning is the same, not comparable.
