Avatar Strategy (for people with less than 200 posts...)

Ok. Way back when I was that new, I seem to recall haing an option to give the URL of the picture you want for your avatar (seeing as how it was so long ago, I can't recall if this was before or after 200 posts). However, if it was before 200 posts, then here's a strategy:

1. post the avatar in this thread. It can be no larger than 100x100 pixels or 102,400 bytes.
2. Right-click on the picture you want as your avatar. scroll down to "Properties"
3. After the word "Address:" there should be a URL listed. Highlight and copy the URL.
4. Go to the avatar text box, and paste the URL down. Hit the "Save modifications" button (it says something along those lines).
5. Enjoy your new avatar.
 
You won't have access to the upload form until you have 200 posts, so you can't cheat the system like that.

If my original strategy won't work, people could, in theory, use this as a postwhoring thread to get their count up...
 
And the number one sign that you don't post enough is:

You've been here long enough that you actually have a custom avatar even though your post count is below 200.

HA ha ha!! You have to save those remaining 51 posts for more occations like this.
