RooAvatars are useful for finding posts in a thread - it's easier to look for a picture than read the text. I change mine every couple of months or so; otherwise I forget which one mine is, and lose whereabouts in a thread I've got to. I use it as a sort of bookmark; if I've posted, it means I've gotten so far through the thread, so all I have to do is look for my avatar and read on from there.
I change mine everyday, y00.... Or every 3 hours...rollazn. I change my from my Stewie avatar back to my old Skyline avatar. Reason? Bahbo had a stewie avatar!

Very well said Mike. 👍Mike RotchTo me, the avatar is a tool to be used in conjunction with your signature and title to express aspects of your personality. Duke uses it to convey his mood (to an extent), Milefile uses it to share images that mean something to him, Bastige and Klos use it to show their sports affiliations and Famine, random British blokes
I see the avatar as an identifier. Change it too often and your identity changes with it. Keep it - ala DA, Gil, Jordan and M5 - and you establish an identity.
I went without an avatar for about 8-9 months, then I put this one up. In a way it's a statement about me, I prefer brunettes.Deli DingoI am the only person to post in this thread that does not have an avatar. Well, not right now anyways, maybe by the time you read this, I will have one. I don't want a predefined avatar though. I want to make my own, but I havn't had the time, hence my signature.
Oh great god not those...FamineThe wallamas?
