Hah, the first pic at 7K RPM is awsome.

Erm, wouldn't it have been easier for you to just put it in neutral and rev it up without driving it? :)

Good pics though.

Yes, but the thing is ****ing loud, I didn't want to upset anyone at 5pm.
 
Heh, I see. My bro's MX-6 backfires(sometimes with flame, though I haven't seen it personally) and sounds much like a rally car. Our nieghbors don't really mind...there are louder cars around anyway.

Once a long time ago my dad was working on an old Subaru in the garage and he revved it up and turned it off and it let off the loudest bang. He said that people came out of thier houses and one of our nieghbors even got on his roof cause he thought something had hit his house.

I don't know where this was, or in what circumstances, but it was in the "Photo Of The Day" on here last year. I think the steering wheel says Acura, but I'm not sure.

that picture's probably on a dyno (at least I think so). I don't think any stock Acura could hit 180 because of aerodynamics (maybe an NSX) and that looks stock from the inside.
 
It's most likely in KMH, and the speed shown is about 115mph(unless it's against the needle stop...then it could be a lot more).

Taken in our MPV as we were being tailed on I-10 in Louisianna. We went about 105 that time but I couldn't take another pic fast enough. The top speed for the trip was a blazing 112 or so MPH because this nut in a Gran Prix cut us off. Also we did about 108 when this old bat in a Town and Country tailgated my dad as we were doing about 90mph. So my dad floored it for a bit but there was traffic.

Um, that's not 100MPH, more like 98.5. :p
 
Look at the angle!! You can see the needle's reflection and it's at about 101.
 
I couldn't get a strait on shot cause of how I was sitting and because it would have distracted my dad even more than it did when I took the pic. ;)
 
Well since dad got his new V6 Mondeo (Contour) we haven't been able to test it because of all the bastid speed cameras ( :irked: ), but it says 150MPh on the speedo.

Actually, I probably still have them. I know I saw the Honda/Viper picstures a few months ago in the bottom of a box. If I can't find them I'll take some pictures of the speedo's in the Lexus & BMW for you.

I should do this in all of the loaner's we get from Lexus and BMW when we have our cars detailed, oil changed, etc. I've had 1 '03 RX300, 2 '03 ES300's, a '03 Z4 3.0, and a '03 325is all in the past 2 months.:lol: Would make for quite a collection.:p
 
Okay I just got back from my long and wonderfull roadtrip and I have those pics I promised. I will have somone here show me how to post them here in the morning. Now mazkid and M5 power promised they would check them out if I went through the trouble so don't you two disappoint me now. (I didin't go through through the UP so it was a real pain in the ass to find a suitable place for this:) )
 
Ive got one lying around of my dads old Holden Calais (which is also in my avatar) at 170kmh but it isnt very clear.
When I finally get a digi cam (bugging my mum everyday) Ill get one of her Nissan Primera in the redline at 7500 and Ill try and get my dads Maxima doing 135 in second in the redline as well (Ive still gotta get my confidence back for going over the speed limit after I was pulled over)
 
SRT, either use photoshop to reduce the size so that the file size is less than 102KB, then upload it here, or send it to me and I'll do it all for you, full size.
