Drifting in the VDC I heard some drivers speaking. Most sounded mid to late 20's. I want to know what age span most drifters are. I am in the mid teens for example

Meh, its best to just stay anonymous so some pedo doesn't stalk you. ... <.< >.>

Lol Jk. Ya basically, most kids your age are busy playing CoD or Halo and freakn out over a grenade that got stickied to their face 3 times in a row.... By the same person.

It definitely has a more mature feel online compared to alot of other online games. But it doesn't matter how old you are, just how you act.

True. GT5 drifting differs from CoD because its not a competition its just people learning to be better drivers. Most GT5 drivers are around 19 or so I think because they take GT5 seriously

I'm 14, and I know quite a lot of people around my age who are fantastic. To state an example, Jai-AE86. He's quite full of talent.

I may honestly say that there isn't much an average on self age, just mentality age. Such as, do they have the means to drift, or would they rather do other things.

HE1RO does state a true fact, most people my age only play games like CoD, but there are some people that may be found out there, that are either really young, or old, and they can sure kick ass.

But if there really had to be an age span, I would say 13-25. Unsure if it's true on our forums, but that seems to be it from my expectations.

Keep on with your drifting, mate. ;)

I'm 17, but I knew about drifting before it was disgraced in the US by that **** fast & furious movie, back when it was a respectful racing technique, not an in your face bragging right.

im 20 and fast and the furious Tokyo drift was sh** lol but for me initial D was my fast and the furious. Initial D and a report i did on the drift king was what got me into drifting at around 19.

yep yep im 15 and initial d and with the help of some youtube videos (drift bible) i was bitten by the drift bug and i now own a 240sx and im spending my entire paycheck to buy parts for it

Initial D kicks F&F's over dramatic ass, I learned quite a bit about cars from reading/watching animes like initial D, and wangan midnight, learned quite a bit from the "megalopolis expressway trial" dvds, if anyone has ever seen or heard of them, better than F&F's "CAR GO VROOOOM, NOS GO BOOM" approach.

I accidently found out about Drifting on Gran Turismo about 2 years ago when I forgot to set the traction control on my 400R on GT4. I only started drifting on GT5 a month ago but I learnt to be an excellent drifter from GT4 guides by Boundary layer and Scaff. Mental age is everything which is why I don't play Cod online

I was 14 when I first got indulged into the drifting and had recently bought my DFGT for GT5 Prologue.

Been keeping at drifting for all these years, now I'm 17 and for me it's tempting to buy a missile to track around tracks instead of playing GT5.

My inspiration for me was mostly random youtube videos of drifting.

I'm 24, just been drifting for about a month now. Always thought it was an interesting sport, just never had time to get around to it till now to try it out. Funny thing is, I'm in dental school and have time for it NOW, but never did before I got here! lol weird..

17, nearly 18. Casual drifter, see me online in a drift room then do be afraid to come close :)

I'm 15, own a G27 and love GT5 and VDC. I have a quad and bald tires, so you get where this is going to go! I still drive an stuff, but only you can know and not the police ;)

The poll is looking pretty conclusive to who drifts on GT5

25 used to autocross and street drift. Got tired of spending money on my car now I just drift online. Im an avid freerunner when not on gt5

19-year-old Pole here. I'm drifting more occassionally, sometimes during races and sometimes in normal time trials. And I especially love doing it on Midfield Raceway on PSP with 4WD/AWD cars. You know, on that looong 180 turn after you cross the first tunnel. The feeling of epicness aftera successful drift there is just priceless :D

In my case it's that I don't care how old someone is, if one doesn't respect me, I don't respect him/her.

21, been playing GT games since I was about 8 or 9, never drifted a single corner until GT5 :D

I am in the 40+ range. I might be the elder statesmen here. Been drifting for 6 years in GT and other games.

I was like 7 when I found drifting in NFS U2, then learned more from Initial D. 17 years old now

I'm 26..will be 27 on Thanksgiving...this community makes me feel old sometimes..like the 24 yr old who thinks it's still cool to go to spring break...only to be the "old guy" that 18-19yr olds use to buy alcohol...lol..luckily I'm young @ heart(at least I think so), so it works out for me...my experience w/ most people my age or older online is spattered w/ douchiness...lol
