Those are some fantastically wide groups in the poll. Surely, as this thread is 5 years old, the poll is pointless?

I joined GTP back in 2004 and I was a little scamp at the age of 22 now being all grown up I'm 26.

I very happily admit my age and that I buy Lego's.

But they're for my... kids. Yeah, my kids.
I don't see any shame in an adult playing with Lego's. That's how Lego companies come up with ideas for all their models. They sit an adult down in a big white room with Lego's of all shapes and sizes and tell them to play until they come up with something good.

I agree 1000% ..options should have been by D.O.B. not by age years... And it could have been a public poll as well... That kind of thread would have served it's duty better.

No prob, that sounds like a good idea.
Here are the current results of the poll
  • under or exactly 13 : 13 = 6.10%
  • 14-15 : 40 = 18.78%
  • 16-17 : 52 = 24.41%
  • 18-19 : 30 = 14.08%
  • 20-21 : 12 = 5.63%
  • 22-23 : 15 = 7.04%
  • 24-25 : 9 = 4.23%
  • 26-27 : 8 = 3.76%
  • 28-29 : 10 = 4.69%
  • 30+ : 24 = 11.27%
which I'm now editing to use year of birth rather than age and to reset the counts.

Edit : bollocks, people who had voted can't vote again, and it seems I can't reset that. So I just put back the old votes. Too bad :(

Thanks for trying though!!! 👍

It's too true that this is thread is interesting and at the same time outdated.
Timppaq, just recreate a new thread with better chosen poll options and post a link here. I'll close this old thread afterwards.

Just a theory here... before the thread is closed, that is. Seeing that it is possible to change the poll options to the birth years (and even "put back the old votes") wouldn't it be possible to do that, and at the same time play a detective and reverse count the years from the vote moments and the options chosen, resulting in a rewritten result sheet with correct info?

OK, I'll go into the corner. :dunce:

That couldn't work, because the only thing I have access to when editing the poll are the options tag and vote count.
I don't know who voted and I don't when they voted.

Timppaq: I think we should just get a mod to close this thread, and for a reason I do not know, you should make a new one because Tedehur said you were the one to do so.

I'm no longer 14. I'll be 20 in a few days. Man, time flys.

Indeed it does. I'm 16 going on 17. It feels like only yesterday that I was running around the living room in pyjamas playing Lego and Pokemon all day... (well, I still sort of do, but not as much as I'd like to)
