AVG or Avast?

i'm wondering which anti virus is better......i'm currently running AVG, but some of my friends said Avast is better.

so, what is actually better? AVG or Avast?

I thought you had a Mac? Anyways, I use AVG but I can't say that it's the better of the two.

I use avast, love it. Never used AVG but I've heard mixed reviews, some love it more than life itself and others hate it.

Well on my desktop we have avg free, half the time it won't put a virus is the vault, but instead makes you find it. And the automatic scan gets annyoying, if you leave your comp on at night, set it to run the test then, durig the day will chew up Alot of Ram, atleast for me.

Avast finds it and makes you decide on what you want to do with it.

Avast finds it and makes you decide on what you want to do with it.

That's what AVG Free does, but sometimes (about half) it makes you chase it, which can be very annoying.

AntiVir is ok, but the program was originally coded in German, and the English translated version isn't that great because you have a hard time understanding the menus.
