A lot of other factors besides this, but using a controller, TCS1, ABS 10 is the magic ticket. Everything else off. I had all kinds of problems with the rally dirt races, until I read this on these forums. You should search for the entire thread.

I won the C4 rally car from the sebastian loeb event and used it. No tuning or mods (other than tires), ABS1 all other aids off.

I hated to do it, but since I only had the Lancia I turned on ...... Skid recovery force. Easily beat them, it seemed I got a ton of traction everywhere, vs spinning tires even with careful throttle application.

I just recently completed these also. Another thing I learned, by experience, is to make sure your torque-sensing differential (or whatever it's called) is set to 50-50 for the gravel and snow, but don't forget to change it back to something like 30-70 when you go to the tarmac.

This is the one where you have to use the rally car, right? I used the Citroen C4 and it works well. It's also easier if there's not another C4 in the group, so if there is, you can exit and restart to get an easier group.

tarmac --> moutul mugen civic (won in a spec)
gravel + snow --> toyota FT-86 (won in a spec)
intermediate + advance
used the C4 (all gold in seb loeb challenge) using on the tarmac slicks medium tyres
tarmac ride height to minimum lsd 40 - 45 -20 traction front 30 back 70%
snow + gravel height maximum traction 45 - 55

Theres really no need for a tune, its possible to just gold the S.Loeb event and you get a Citroen C4 WRC car you can just use that default settings and easily win

SFR on, abs 1, everything else off...car tuned to the max. Just hammer it around the corners...the AI can't cope with corners. If you come across a stage with long straight sections, adjust the gear box for faster speed. The hardest one was the tarmac...until I put on racing softs. I think I finished more than three minutes ahead on the snow, 2 minutes ahead on the dirt and 1 minute ahead on the tarmac.
