B Spec advice, how to, general info and opinion

I have decided that b-spec is incredibly frustrating when your driver does things that make no sense whatsoever... such as rear ending the car in front of him on a straight away repeatedly instead of passing him (after telling him/her to overtake), or drifting out of a corner when he held it slow the rest of it.

I just watched my driver hit the brakes on a straightaway after I had been telling him to pace UP. so weird.

This is how I felt at first. But now I'm level 22 in b spec and he does get alot better once your past 14-15 or so. Now bob is a mean mother, I watched him get spun out with less then 2 laps left at r246 to watch him storm back for a past turn pass and win. Also it seems if you put a new driver in harder races off the start he gets pretty good really fast. By harder I mean amatuer or select pro races for level 1 bob. But honestly if you can't stand b spec but want the cars it offers, give him a much better car then the AI has and just go do something else. He can get beat when he goes into Sunday drive mode (allthe way to blue in meter) so I just keep the curser set to pace up and double tap x every minute or two while I'm watching tv or on the forum. Keeps him fast enough

I just drove the 9 hour endurance, but lost as nr 10. had it to shift driver at 10% but they kept pitting in the end as they got low on energi (Was while I slept) my friend who has equally high lvl drivers did the same and his drivers had loads of energi so he finished nr 1 with 40 laps to nr 2 :S no idear why he did so much better

Before I got the X1, I used just the Zonda R fully built. It laps everyone in those races. That and you never loose first place the whole race. Even pitting throughout it. I ran that poor car to death for many races and endurance races. Have you tried the Zonda R? Since it is a free car that's won.

Starting to really enjoy B-spec now. My driver is nearly at level 12 (I'm only at 14 A-Spec!) and is actusally capable of winning races with me having to drop a tonne of cash on upgrading their car, though I did use the Madza concept thing (Furai?) to utterly demolish the Supercar series.

You do need to babysit your driver though. Left to his own devices, he will often finish 4th or so. Either by not trying hard enough to pass cars oin front, or by taking the lead then dawdling until the pack catches and passes him.

I used my Peugout 908 which is beter than the zonda. The problem is they get tired so they chain pitstop
Next time I will put it at 0% so they only stop for fuel or for new tires

Yeah, the Zonda would only have issues with the Indy 500 endurance up until I stopped using it for the X1. All the other's win very easy. It also had issues with All Stars and Like the Winds Daytona ( won the Indy on that event ). Otherwise great car.

Beat these with it very easily.
