Isn't it funny that I can't let my bob earn some cash for me because he is "stuck" in an online challenge but on the other hand that I can't get online and take him out (for known and obvious reasons)?
Didn't have anything to complain about this whole PSN mess.... until now :yuck:

I think that the cars might also be the same way. I couldn't figure out how to get the cars that I had shared online back to being in my garage and available to drive. I had just bought a 330 P4 and put it online before the outage. I'd like to drive it now...

You're not the only one. Also, you might want to check out the B-Spec Forum. The PSN outage has had widespread consequences on many different gamers over many different games. I don't think we need a new discussion thread for every little inconvenience. We do, however, have a massive thread for all PSN Outage frustrations. Have at it:

Also, any updates regarding the outage can be found here:

All 6 of my B-spec Bobs are stuck. None are stuck in races though - just generally stuck as they were all shared.

I'm considering retiring one or two of them, but I don't know if that can be done while they're stuck(?)

We have a new mod. :sly:

Just a tip...if you've been a member for all of 4 months..I'd not preach to folks on how things run. We have mods and people who message the mods for that sort of thing. :sly:

I started a thread about this problem which is a big problem when PSN is down... and it got locked.
GTPlanet's forum mods should take their heads out of their backsides.

No disrespect intended towards this brilliant site.

All six of my Bobs are stuck as well. Doesn't matter all the time...but sometimes it's a bit frustrating.

No I have the best story. This guy on my friends list asked if I could put my X1 online so he could use it for something and I said sure. I attempted to do it and it kept saying I'm not online or I couldn't connect to the Internet even tho my ps3 was just gt5 couldn't. I told the guy I would do it tomorrow and was busy so I had to do it the day after that. When I tried to I couldn't connect at all to psn and found out it had been shut down for a bit. So outa total luck I didn't put it online and can still use it now.

It's not just your B-spec drivers, if you have any cars that you have set to online for your friends to share, then you can't access them in your garage either. I know this personally because I'm missing 6 of my best cars. :ouch:

Solution, tune new cars. :D

*added bit* Noticed Barron already answered it. :)

Going forward, it's always good to leave one or two B-spec Bobs offline. I leave two offline so that I can do the races that require a driver change.

You can't retire a driver while set online and you aren't connected to the network.

I just use one bob even for the 9 hour or 24 hour races he is ok to run the whole race himself

There was a phase between the grinder widget ceasing to work and the PS3 failing to connect to PSN and fortunately I brought my senior Bob offline in that gap of a few hours. What a bit of luck! Now is a great time for me to finally send him off on a few enduros. He's about 10 minutes into the Nurb 24 hrs.

I wish I'd taken one of my Bobs and my FGT offline just before this outage, but I'm fine completing some special events and some endurance races for the moment. One more week to wait :)

It takes about 1 minutes to remove a driver from online so you can use him for an offline race. As such, all 6 of mine are stuck online as well :guilty:

Isn't that a bit contradictory to say the least? Anyhoo, removed the cars I had online coincidentally just before the outage for no apparant immediate reason but all my 5 Bob's are still locked firmly in cyberspace but since I already completed B-spec that isn't of much concern to me.
For those who might have otherwise used this time to play some B-spec that must be truly annoying however.

That's an odd contradiction. Without the staff here the site would quickly turn into another 4Chan and perseption of this place would take a turn for the worse. If you would bother to take the time to look around you would quickly find a thread that already exists regarding the PSN outage. Funnily enough you are not the only person to have noticed there might be an issue with PSN.
