So after calming down abit from my b-spec nob being totally braindead, I decided to make a thead hopefully to provide less searching and find some tips for b-spec in one handy thread e.g b-spec (best car to use) + tuning settings for that specific car for specific races i.e Toyota 7 on Coat D'azur, Historic Racing Car Cup, Or setting a NASCAR up for mr halfwit e.t.c so if you have anything to share to aid fellow gtpers and their useless ai drivers please share it here

TOP TIP... Hot drivers don't break as hard or as much as cool drivers !

Some tuning tips for the B-Spec Toyota 7 Monaco race.

1. Make sure you have the turbo and rigidity improvements added.
2. Purchase racing mediums.
3. Change your final gear ration to around 240km/h. This allows the car to accelerate better and overtake better whilst not sacrificing time over the straights as they don't hit 240 for long before braking anyway.
4. Change your rear toe angle to 0.00. Pretty sure the driver was getting stuffed around by the added oversteer (as they don't drive like us) and this was responsible for them hitting that corner before the main straight.
5. Not sure how much driver level factors into it but mine was 20 (and in good form/blue up arrow)

Awesome thread. I am trying to crack the American Championship.

My Tip, which is credits to another gtplanet user but I will post it here:

For oval tracks, best to use hot headed drivers who won't slam the breaks (as often).

To be honest as well, there's a bit of luck in there... We can only do so much tuning wise but if they lose 20 seconds trying to figure out how to reverse a car, you may as well just try again. Might take you a few times until you get lucky but hey, I may as well replace my driver with my chihuahua and wait for it to get lucky too.

Haha I used the settings you mentioned earlier and on my second go I cracked it so I had to share your tips for others

If you stumble across a Viper GTS-R Race Car in the used showrooms that should be of good use to you its pretty expensive at near 2mil Cr but if you raise the final drive then it should breeze Indy Superspeedway, I assume your meaning a-spec if so then the Viper will work, Its not so goot for b-spec as im trying it now

subscribing to this. I'm having some trouble with Monaco in the Toyota 7, I'll try the tune and report back.

Was the tune standard other than the mentioned changes?

It seems to me that Bob likes his blue-red (mentality) bar to be kept close to the point shown on his stat' page, eg: if you chose a bob with a character level half way into the red, then that is the point you should try to maintain whilst he's driving!... I think!

Yes all I changes are what was posted nothing else needed doing, Main thing is to keep your eye on bob he overtook on lap 4 for me

I managed a silver. I'll try again with him shortly. He's been busy tonight. Just beat the Dream Car Champs. Not many dream cars present, except his Minolta.

is it me or is bob to polite !! and y does he have to hit the hammers in to corners i sit there and watch other car shoot past me !! any one no a good b spec car for american champs ??

I really think it helps if Bob is a higher level. I had trouble as well but went back when he had more experience and grew a pair. lol Seems you have to push him a lot to win at Monaco.
Think I had my top speed set at around 175mph I do believe.

Arghhh, I tried Cote D'Azur over 20 times now and he still won't do it. I'm Lvl 32 and have tried the Toyota 7 and Jag XJ13 but he rarely gets past lap 4 before stuffing it in the wall.
