i was doing the Pro Events in B-Spec (british lightweights, TOP GEAR track) with a Elise 111R. then on the 5th lap, my BOB got hit by the oncoming backmarkers, and he spun out to the other side of the track! and this freaking stupid game system thought that BOB cheated by using the shortcut, and dropped him from 1st to last (12th) place! i've been trying and trying, and it's still the same!:grumpy:
is there anyway to overcome this stupid race and this stupid/nonsense/unfair penalising system? i've done nothing wrong, i used no shortcut, the stupid AI hit my BOB, and i got penalised? WTH is this?!!! :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

what is wrong with PD? didn't they notice this when they tested this game? can't they even fix a simple thing like this?

Pace down your driver (to cold) when you manage to get the lead so not to stay too far infront of the pack.
Or use a slower car (same power/tyres as opponent) and work position to 1st slowly over the laps.

I just kept my driver chilled out after I got out front. After that it actually looked like he would slow down a bit or speed up a bit at the intersection to avoid the collision. Other than that there really isn't much you can do. It's more the way the track is configured and not as much the AI (while they are dumb, people crash into each other on this track too).

U have to pace up and down according to your drivers sweet spot it shows u where that is when u choose your driver

There's no penalizing going on. The B-Spec drivers do what real-world race drivers would do if they go off-track: wait until it is 100% safe to return to the track.

i think this is unfair, i have to watch over the AI every single time, while they can ram me whenever they LIKE, they don't have the sense of slowing down when another car crossover the track.
BTW, i think B-Spec is really a waste of time, i didn't buy this game to watch some stupid AI race themselves while i'm just sitting there, the amount of laps are more compared to A-Spec. Why didn't they created more events for A-Spec? instead of spending so much time wasting effort on this AI thing! i really hope they can remove B-Spec in future GT series. Seasonal events only being updated like every 2-4 weeks, that isn't enough considering the lack of A-Spec events in GT5.
i've been playing GT for more than 10 years (since GT2 in PS1), and there's nothing more i hate other than B-Spec.

If you hate it so much you don't have to use it. There is a large group of people that do like B spec though which is probably why it was included again. Just like with any product like this there is bound to be something that you don't really enjoy. For me, it's photo mode, I get really bored with that. But that doesn't mean it should be removed because there are a lot of people that enjoy that aspect of this game as well.

You have to try and remember PD has a very diverse audience to satisfy and in doing so there will be implementations that some people don't like.

I really wouldn't mind b-spec IF: 1. The drivers weren't hopeless retards 2.The races weren't twice as long 3.The rewards were actually worth watching the boring race when instead you could have been playing a-spec.

I really hated B spec. Then I got to the higher levels, and - believe me or not - it turned out to be quite fun. Hang in there!

The problem is that I'm lvl 30 b-spec. Today I was finishing the nascar event in extreme series with a Lvl 28 driver, He came 8th in Daytona and ended up second...

His biggest problem is that he thinks that overtake means: Slow down and go on the outside of EVERY corner and brake for every racer to pass you by. Sometimes I wish I could go in the game and kick his a**.

It would be better if you can train them by showing them HOW to drive, instead of saying pace up/down, which they ignore most of the time.
