I had to use a used Ford Lightning souped up all the way, and change the oil, mine was black! Guess they never changed the oil, the previous owner..

And here I thought tuning the Dodge Ram to 550BHP was asking a bit much already :ill:

Nothing makes me happier than buying a used vehicle that not only needs an oil change, but 100k+ in chassis and engine work :grumpy:

Wait until you buy your used F1... $1 mil to restore ($500k engine/$500k rigidity)!

Anyone have a detailed way to beat Nascar Daytona? I've probably run 300 laps by now and still haven't beaten it. Even have one "bob" level 20+ (all Daytona).

Just a warning for those that haven't done it. B-spec NASCAR is a frickin nightmare. He hits the brakes in the middle of the corner when the A.I. don't. Even the Dogleg on Daytona. So even if he gets the lead. He loses it and goes back and forth. Its a complete catastrophy. I'm temped to go into the brake bias and TAKE AWAY his braking ability for the ovals.

Oh god. From 1st to dead last on the last lap. If this guy were real I would put him in a small room with a pissed of badger. Next race. NO BRAKES. ha ha!

EZ
Shrimp; change the oil of your truck. That will help alot. Also make sure you got the best tires, B-Bob has a habit of selecting the worst tires.

With fresh oil and the correct tires we nailed the Laguna race after a couple of fails.
And let Bob rest to blue up arrow

It sounds like your driver isn't good enough mine won easily on the ovals ,the other tracks he had trouble with though but won eventually.

I used the same driver all the way up to this level.

I've tried a noob driver just to see. Nothing either...

Same results. Brake mid corner, and MOVING OVER to let others by on the straights. Also downshifting to 3rd for a split second mid corner killing speed too. I've tried messing with the gear ratio's.

LOL, sounds EXACTLY what I'm going through.... I was closer to throwing the controller than I have been for years.

I think lap 16 is when it's time to "make your move" to the front. Anything earlier and they'll pass you on the last lap. I can hold 1st for about 2 laps and no longer.

The trick to increasing the power of your trucks is adjusting the transmission.

Buy the customizable tranny.

Go to tuning and select transmission.

put the arrow on the knob icon to adjust the settings.

On top speed below the gear ration settings, click it and raise it all the way up.

Your top speed should go up from 150mph to 200+mph.

Do the race and watch it go fast.

I'm trying different suspension. Right now 2.5 front camber, 1 rear. .30 toe in rear.

Great, Lead 13 F'n laps. Last lap, I got from 1st to 9th!!!!!

Its a good thing I don't have kids. I would have thrown my control at one of them by now.

I hate hate hate B-Spec in this game. I'm tired of directing this complete idiot. I give him cars that he should be able to lap the competition in and he can barely keep up a lot of the time. B-spec was a nice tool to use for long endurance races and that's it. This fool acts like he's driving Miss Daisy and thinks early braking is a winning strategy. It's a wonder he's gotten up to level 13.

the best race for lvling bob at lvl 21 is a probly your zonda that you won in gran turismo championship in lvll 17 turbo high speed ring... with fully downforce and i think 3.4/2.6 camber 0/20 toe everything else cant remember but only lowered suspension in front... anyway after at lvl 22 the first race in lvl 22 european cup is rome use a really fast car and it wins so fast, i use it to level my lvl 0 drivers for endurance races, relatively rich still waiting on the right car to show in used cars... hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions on how to exploit b-spec:)

What would you say be the best track för grinding XP?
Dream Championship Indy track?

And, did you create all players at the same time then just grinding them up one by one in the levels?

I don't really remember to be honest, but yeh I think that one you mentioned is a good one.

I leveled one at first, til about 21 before I started driver 2, 3 and 4 were started at around when 1 was 25 and 2 was 20ish

yo instrumental, you keep leveling your driver and watch how good he gets, once in a while he does such stealthy overtakes it's actually impressive, and his braking I've noticed from experience depends a lot on how the car is tuned. Don't forget some tracks will make a car behave much differently, mostly ones with tricky elevation changing turns. Once he gets to low 20's he gets the job done. I'm currently waiting on a new wireless transmitter for my wheel, some Fanatec drama and man aim I being polite when I say it like that. He will still have comp like moments though, in the end im truthfully dying to use my wheel and b-spec makes me cash to spend later.

Well that gives me some hope to continue on with it. but agh, right now it's so frustrating watching this guy drive.

I think I'm gonna get an ulcer. hahaha

lol, im doing the lvl 26 endurance right now, it's great was able to study for 3 hours and barely had to control the game. you found any trends in tuning yet? I find camber and toe are almost the only things that really make an improvement... others must be the hardest to get right... and ive played gt all my life...
