I remember hearing about the player being able to access B-Spec mode from a computer when your away from your PS3 but haven't heard anything about this since. I don't really get a lot of time to play my PS3 anymore due to work and school but I would love to be able to check on my drivers during endurance races and have them level up while I'm gone. Anyone know if this will eventually make it to the game or in a similar situation as me and really want this feature added?? I'm sure I'm not alone.

I think you are referring to the promised 'Remote Races' that was supposed to come out in December. Of course December came and went, but I think you will be disappointed in how it works.

You cant do normal B-spec races. You cant guide your driver (pace up/down. etc). All its good for is gaining experience and some money for your B-Spec Driver. If your friend shared his Bspec driver, then they will race against your driver.

Thats it, nothing to special.

From an IT prospective this could hypothetically be done with a webcam and some type of usb/bluetooth device connected through the PC that can mimic the key inputs of the controller.

I imagine setting up a remote desktop software like Teamviewer to open up a skype with a webcam pointed at the tv. The question of course is the programming of a controller like interface for the PS3.

/edit blah Skype wouldn't be needed unless sound was important. Open a localized webcam off the device itself.

Well the idea did sound promising and would give me something to do at work when it gets slow. I hope it will eventually make it in.
