...Is a pain. Who else has had issues in this area? Got a Ford F150 truck thats rigged up, but it just won't work at all. Slides off the track, driver is crap even at Lvl 13. Anyone got any pro tips, like a new truck to look out for to buy?

Try decreasing the pace after the 1st turn to bring your driver Into the cool zone then work It from there.

Mine is up to 746Hp with every gizmo I can put on it. The guy is crap at driving, brakes when he doesnt need to, cars get in his way and instead of getting on a good line to get around he stays BEHIND it. Laguna Seca is the track I absolutely despise this.

Try tuning the transmission. The setup I used at Daytona was different than what I used at Laguna Seca. My driver got the lead maybe on lap 4 or 5 so it did take some time.

I found a Chevy Silverado in the used dealership which is rather good.
But by looking at end results the Tacoma is best to get.

The problem is people are trying to make a better driver by overpowering the competition. If you give him close races from the start, and make him work for them, he'll become a better driver faster. I know its frustrating to lose races at the start, but that's how he will learn the best.

Shouldn't it be 'they'?
I pictured my first driver a woman :sly:

Depends....I picture my first driver a guy, and my second (S. Johansson) to be a girl :p.
I think I have one better

I ran into the same problem but the solution is easier than you think.

If you are using the SSR like I was it was maxing at 136 which its way too low for Daytona. Just modify the top speed to be around 180ish and it will take a healthy lead over the toyotas.

Luckily I got through it just by hammering the commands at every available opportunity. The reward for all my troubles?

A Daihatsu Midget.

Still, one more championship and thats Amateur completed on both sides.

Yeah, I've driven the F150 in A-spec for the truck challenge. Barely had any upgrades on it and the back end breaks loose all the time. She's definitely touchy. I don't know how my b-spec driver will handle it. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for the AWD Silverado SS instead

I only upgraded the ECU and shaft on my silverado. told my best driver to push really hard and barely won with 0.069secs. damn close.

i finally just did it by buying a Dodge Ram 1500
Tuning it to 565 BHP
Change Transmission to 211 or something
Hard to win lol
