Why can my B-Spec driver drive a 7'15 around Nurburgring in practice, but in the same car on the same tires runs ten seconds slower than that in a race? I thought I'd easily win the 24h of Nurburgring, and it only said 10 A-Spec points (or something small like that) but he got schooled by 6 seconds/lap by the AI.

as far as you getting 10 seconds slower during a race, one reason I can think of is that during a practice session there are no AI's to get in your way or slow you down as in a race. When your computer driver encounters another AI on the road, by default he kind of slows up right behind him to "register" that he needs to pass him and this can definitely add quarters of seconds to your lap times (especially if you're doing long races and it's happening a lot ex. Nurburgring)

You probably set the b-spec driver to a high setting (4-5 maybe) and you may have low b-spec points, meaning the driver isn't that good. You should "teach" the b-spec driver to drive better and school him on different tracks/cars. Also, power-to-weight rations are what count for the a-spec points in races, not the habndling capabilities of the car.

l0tus_tunnen is correct, another reason is that in practice mode the tires are always in perfect condition for racing whereas in a race they're often not. In particular your B-Spec driver doesn't do well on cold tires.

This is by far the greatest factor, and the reason why Bob will also drive slower when there's no AI in his way. The weight of the fuel he's carrying also has an effect (that's not factored into Circuit Practice either), although this is less important than the tyre conditions.
