B Spec remotes count toward "Air of Experience"?

I have a level 40 bob with over 500 races, his experience bar is only half full, and no AOE trophy. He's done plenty of remotes, perhaps they don't count? Also he seems to be in the skills downside, he places top 5 behind mid to high 30s in identical cars (NASCAR).

Suggestions?
