i was doing the last race in the B-Spec historic car cup or whatever is its name, in monaco(Cote'd Azur) the driver seems to hit the barrier in the nouvelle chicane, and he thinks he can destroy the wall because he keeps pushing the barrier. anyone know why this happens??

My driver did the same. I only managed to win with the Chap. 2J. The key is to press "pace down" before the 2 trouble spots. You have to guide him constantly, but you will get it eventually.

I find my Bob can get through there fine on his own, but if there's a car in front of him he almost always tries to overtake there and that's when he takes the line that drives through the wall(unless I yell at him going through the tunnel).

Shoulda gone to spec savers> My Bob is LVL 37 and does the exact same thing. Seems he wants to overtake there but doesnt quite see the barrier?

Seems to do the same thing at Anthony Noghes too. And no matter how many times I tell him he wont overtake on the Hotel Hairpin. This is one of the places you see overtakes in F1 but no, hes having none of it!

I think some of the drivers you get are just naturally dim-witted. My highest level bob, bearing in mind this is a level 32, was in the Nürburgring 4H endurance, and he in a Toyota GT-One sat behind some kind of s:censored:tty 350Z for three whole laps. I commanded him to overtake, all he did was drive onto the grass, brake almost to a bloody standstill, then drive slowly onto the track again. It was only when this Nissan pitted in that he proceeded as normal. Oh yeah, and the easiest B-Spec seasonal event, the latest one? A level 32 driver in a Level 10+ race. Came fifth. Absolute pillock.

Your b-spec bobs would still have no sense of direction even through proper train at the circuits - they are intrinstically idiots without a whit of common sense, and so are mine. :P

You absolutely have to make sure they don't pass on the left going into Nouvelle. It's not pace down or any other command that will change it.

So how exactly do you make sure they don't attempt a pass there without issuing any useless commands then?

No, asking them to Pace Down there doesn't work 100% of the time, but it does work the majority of the time - at least if you read the situation correctly and slow him before he sees the chance to pass. It's also the only thing you can do, unless there is some other secret way of controlling his actions.

bloody hell with the driver, he thinks he can take down the wall, yesterday this happened
giving him the command to pace down and he tryes to pass the chap infront instead of doing what i ordered to him to do, then pum straight to the wall

I've babysat my Bobs during the begining of their career, and have since reaped the rewards through remote racing. Is he retarded?

Well, yeah.

But apparently less retarded than most. Try running some more offline b-spec events.
