Back to the basics....(HELP!!!)

If people would give their tips and tricks to hybriding it would be greatly appreciated. (Like where to start etc )

first of all it woulds be helpful if u told us whether u have a sharkport, and xport, a gameshark, and ar2 and wot have you!
then it will be a lot easier for us to help u!

Start by downloading mk's programme, version 38. There's a link in Heydu's signature.

Then go to http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/detomaso/343/gt3hybrid.html - which tells you everything you could ever want to know about hybriding with mk's and the 'Port...

Well, no. But then again with mk's you can create an entire GARAGE full of hybrids in 30 minutes. As opposed to taking 30 minutes to type in ridiculous, non-intuitive codes for a single hybrid.

Plus, mk's interface is so amazingly easy, even a gerbil could use it.

I'll try my hand at it (as soon as I can get my dad to hook the sharkport back up (I can't because of user-status issues)). My main issue with MK's is that you can't edit settings; or at least that was the way it was before. did he fix that?

Not as far as I'm aware - but you can go into the ini file and change the settings a hell of a lot quicker than in-game - and beyond normal tolerances too. If you've seen our GTGenome Project video with the Civic SiR-II at 22 degrees of Camber, you'll know what I'm talking about

Yeah, visit Famine's site. Its alot of help and explains alot. I'll post this anyway though (from a while ago):

Here is a pic that will help you. This is a picture of the MKS Program (you use it on your PC). The Sharkport/Xport (which you can pick up at Best Buy or any other gamin store for around $30) allows you to upload your PS2 Memory Card files to your computer. So you can have pretty much use your computer as a memory card. You just need to upload your GT3 game data and open it in MKS. It will show the cars in your garage and the parts and settings that are on them.

Now if you wanted to change a part, say the engine, you just have to right click on the cell that is designated for the engine (on the car you want to change engines) and select "Change Part". Then you will get a popup box listing all the engines from all the cars in the game (even the hidden cars). The MKS program comes with a manual, so you can figure everything else out from that, but you can always come to us for any help you might need ...

I'd highly recomend Famines website (though its centered around the PAL version)...

The Speed 12 was... an accident...

I gave it waaaay to much horsepower (about 7000, I recall), left it FR and put on too much DF. As I came out of the pits, the AI gave me control and it span - and kept spinning...

I refined the car and it's a lot nicer to drive now. But that Chameleon Blue paint work supershined is seriously evil, isn't it?

i love the mercedes running circles around the f-1 car down the straight at midfield...now that i have an x-port and MK's program, i see why that car is so fast, it's a near perfect fit for an F-1 chassis...

That's one of the few that isn't mine... The Lupo was daan's creation, and him driving.

The Mercedes CL666 was created by Thrasher, driven by me, played tricks on a flat-out F1 driven by my girlfriend (make no mistake, that throttle was MASHED)and videoed by daan...

I'll check the video myself (I've got it burned to CD) and see what cars I'm missing... Then I'll try my best to put them up for you.

i have a lupo like daans i created it after i saw the video and it turns astonishingly well but it isnt the fastest of my hybrids! my fastest hybrid is a xr8 race car that can clock 43 round midfield
