Backfire noises

Okay, I made a fully tuned Toyota MR2 GT for drifting and I have been noticing in high revs it will make me popping noise of a backfire. It is not a prominent as Forza 1 but it is noticeable. Anyone else here notice this in any other car.

I think I heard it on some of my cars, can't remember...

It's extra fuel on the overrun, I think. A lot of highly tuned cars do this or ones with upgraded exhausts.
