There's no backfiring in the gt series, right? I wuz just playing cmr4... and i cant remember ever seeing flames shoot out of the exhaust in the gt series. why leave that out?? or have i just not seen it?? Admin can delete this if he wants, but i wuz just wondering.... no flame plz.

I think most people would rather spend the CD bandwidth on other things like more cars or better car physics etc etc. Plus, its pretty hard getting flamage to look realistic (Colin Mcrae rally pulled it off pretty well) ;)

I think they didn't put the flames in to save game space.

I remember having read a thread about this already. Someone had even posted self-made pictures of a Skyline with exhaust flames.
Does anyone remember what was the thread ?

It's incredibly difficult to render fire decently, and I'd rather have them commit those resources to putting more cars on the track.

You mean this one below?

come on... how can cmr 4 have it and gt4 not... its not that important. but its nice to be chasing someone down a hill and see a lil fire shoot out when they're downshifting.

Right. Is it yours ?

By what do you mean?
Do I own the backfiring effect...no. Do I own the Skyline GT-R Concept...yes.
Infact, its in my drive way laughing at me.

Only carborated cars backfire right :odd:

Umm. Yes and No you can ONLY make carbureted cars backfire, but in fuel injected cars you can backfire if you have a turbo from the backpressure, in between shifts. I think that’s how it works
