Yea, I don't mean to sound like this car is the baddest of the bad. I was just saying that its a very impresive piece. Like I said before, any car that can do 8's or so, and still be 'streetable' is cool in my book. Yes, there are probably quite a few single digit street cars out there, but they are still pretty rare. Either way, Shep's TSi is awesome, and I could only dream that mine will get even close to that fast someday. I'm real close to 10s, but, it'll be a while and some work to break that barrier.

Yeah, with like a 15 second car you can spend next to nothing and take a whole second of your time, but once you get into 11s and 10s in takes a lot of $$ and hard work to even improve it .1 of a sec. good luck with your car man 👍

He runs on ET streets!!! you act like DOT tires are just michelens
and race gas, and lots of boost, and a gutted interior. its not a street car.

very cool but not a steet car.

Lets see, my Omni had -

1.) DOT drag radials
2.) 110 oct race gas
3.) Lots of boost
4.) Gutted interior

Does this mean it's a race car? Someone should have told me that before I drove it 4-5 days a week and got 20 + mpg. Ask 5 people what they consider to be a 'street car' and you will get 5 different answers.

To me, if the car can be driven on the street with a certain level of comfort, and not run out of gas after 5 blocks of driving, then it's a street car.

FYI: The rear seat in a 1g Talon/Eclipse/Laser weighs maybe 5 lbs, it's usually removed because of cage interference. The passenger seat can be put back in just as quickly as it was removed and so can the spare & jack. Damn.. back to a full interior!

I 2nd that one. Its not what the car is like, but what it is capable of. Like Monster said, if its possible to drive on the street with some civility, thats fine with me. And, yea, like he also said, the interior on a DSM comes out very easy, what little bits there are. I think if you added up all the parts in the car that you might take out, you might get 150lbs, at most. And thats with spare, jack, and passenger seat. Like he said, the reason most DSM's have a stripped interior is for better cage placement. The cage in my Talon lets me keep all of the interior, so the car is still very civil inside.

Anything that can be driven on the street legally is considered "street legal" there for that car is a streetable car. Lets also not forget hes still using stock transfer case and half shafts, he does manage to snap carbon fiber driveshafts.
