Got this from IGN...

Sony Computer Entertainment America informed IGNPS2 today that the following bands will perform songs for the upcoming North American release of Gran Turismo 3 A-spec: Apollo Four Forty, Grand Theft Audio, Lenny Kravitz, Motley Crue and Papa Roach. All of these performers will have at least one song in the American version of GT3 and Snoop Dogg’s contribution will be a completely original track that’s exclusive for the game.

There will be numerous other well-known artists on the GT3 soundtrack, but due to contract negotiations with them SCEA isn’t ready to release them to the public for legal reasons. Gran Turismo 3 A-spec is scheduled to ship to stores in North America on July 10, 2001.

The 11th?  So you're going to have to wait one day longer than the rest of us...

Well, you can come here on the 10th and I'll be sure and let you know how terrible the game is.

actually I already have the review for some reason from Official Playstation Magazine. The review came pretty early.

Well anyway I heard from polyphony that the game will feature both Japanese and American songs. And that you'll be able to custamize the songs you want to play during races. Finally endurance races wont be so boring with one track that plays over and over.

Yes, that will be great.  I just hope the Japanese music is good...

Well its not really Japanese music as if there were like songs with Japanese singing. I meant that the songs from the Japanese version can be compiles mixed ect.. with other american GT3 version songs to your liking so the game has a much more enjoyable feel.

I'd like to burn my own CD's so I could insert them and listen to what I want while playing the game.  :)

Thats what I've been thinking too. :) When I make a racing or Snowboarding game I want to do that. But right now the PS2 doesnt have a Harddrive so its not possible...... yet.

Oh, no, it's possible now.  The game you play is loaded into the PS2's video memory, so you could insert another CD and let that music play.  Of course, the developer would have to enable this feature.

yes. but once you turn off your PS2 all is lost and when you play the game again you have to go through the process of uploading the music. And if you did this with the memory card it would hold many songs even if the songs were MP3 format.

True, you would need to swap out the CDs when the game needed to load again, like after a race or something, but the songs would never be stored on the memory card.

If you've ever played some of the Ridge Racer games, this feature is available.
