lol like naked laydees? What foroum group did he post those in?
This is exactly what we don't want to happen in this kind of thread.

The log is there with all the information we plan to give. We're not going into agonizing detail explaining exactly how you can do wrong the same way someone else did, or bringing unacceptable behaviour back into the public eye.

is VIPFREAK banned?? Above his avatar it says banned but I dunno if its a custom title or for real? if he is, what he do?

yeah just searched through a convo thread for his last post and read about it. Interesting way to take time off from a forum. lol

Look in the Banned User Log at the top of this board...

*sigh*

Just a side question here... not entirely off-topic, but at the same time, completely off. Once you're warned once, obviously, you have to be wraned twice more to be banned. However, is there any way to lift that first warning and wipe your record?

It is possible for mods/admins to lift warnings on forums, but they probably won't.

Hmmm...well I'd say generally no. Since the member knew the rules the entire time, why would we give them another strike after say 6 months of "good behavior". That would lead people to be really stupid, get one warning, then be good for a certain amount of time, then get one warning again and so on...

Also, it doesn't take 3 strikes to get banned. You can get banned after only one offence or it could go to 2-3. Just so you know.

Just to give a little general detail to Swift's post above, the number of warnings is relatively fixed but there is discretion on the part of the staff. We try to act consistently and we frequently have private discussions in order to make sure that we're all in agreement on a particular disiplinary action. In general, it goes like this:
  • Commercial advertising, pornography, or virus/malicious material or links = summarily banned with no warnings
  • Extremely bad language / personal attacks or trolling = 1 warning, banned on next offense after receiving warning
  • General bad behaviour or attitude = 2 warnings, possibly 3 if behaviour is generally good except for occasional problems
We want everybody to understand that the staff has a certain amount of discretion - we need it to operate effectively - but we do try to make sure we work as a team and enforce the rules fairly and consistently.

Thanks for givng them the details Duke. 👍 I should've done that myself.:ouch:

Right

Just wanted to have that cleared up a bit, since I was once warned and it said I'd be banned on the third warning. But that last post by Duke seems to clear it up further.

Have you any idea how hard it is to keep up good behaviour for six months??? :scared:

It isn't very hard. I haven't gotten a warning yet, and I have been registered here for just over a year.
