With that said, I've noticed a few members have followed the PS route and are similarly banned on site. Although they've "tried" to become respectable members again.

yeah, i agree, PS doesn't want to come back and be good does he?

maybe he does, but as I said, he starts good and get's idiotic quickly... so it's not like he can keep his behaviour controlled, so to speak.

3-Wheel Drive
Was Cosmic banned? His name appears on the log, and he lacks his sig/avatar, but his title does not actually say "Banned", but rather "Gone".

The last I heard, he was banned for 5 days for going around the swear filter. Apparently this made him quite mad and although his ban was lifted after 5 days, he didn't come back. Just changed his title to gone and maybe pops in now and then to check threads, but definitely isn't as active as before.

so he's not banned?

i see the log has been updated with recent bans, i didn't know Alpine had 3:odd:

looks like IHGW8B could be the next PS lol

I'm not sure what kind of idiot thinks it's fun to spam and harrass a certain message board. They think they're being "cool", but the irony is that THEY'RE WASTING THEIR TIME SPAMMING AND HARRASSING A MESSAGE BOARD. Get some real-life friends, for Pete's sake. There is more to life than the Internet.

Just wondering, who was the first person banned from this glorious site?
The first "high-profile" ban that I can think of was a member named BMW///M3. He was a mod that deleted posts from other members he disagreed with. He was banned shortly before I arrived here; bannings were quite rare back then, they remained an anomaly until about late-2003.

He re-registered a few months later, but obviously, nobody cared about what he had to say.

Wow, thats sad... Why do people act so friggin dumb? If they hate the site, and they are continually banned use an IP ban, but then they just have to register from a different computer... :indiff:

Well, I remember him telling me that he actually does want to come back and be good and all, but since he has like 30+ bans on his back, it's practically impossible to do so.

Not necessarily.

nope, it IS impossible :D

Well, I said "practically" to account for the uber rare chance that all of the mods and admins' minds would be wiped, therefore you don't know who PS is and you'll just think he's a member that's... different. But since it'll be a cold day in Hell when that happens, then yes, it's impossible.

It's incredible how everybody keeps talking about him. He really has made a big impact regardless of what everybody says. If he comes and sees this, then he might be proud.

Ciao!

Yeah PS was okay, up untill the point someone annoyed him. From there he'd basically wind this person up non-stop, recieve a warning, get even more bugged, do something stupid, get banned.

Does anyone want to produce a graph to truly represent the most popular months? :D

I was bored, and it's hardly even a graph, although I may make a graph later.

I did it all on Photoshop CS if your wondering.

If the Banned User Log went back a few more months, it'd be more evidence towards: is there more bans in the Summer becuase of kids off school? (Although most bans were in Febuary, normally a school month).

Why? Notepad + screenshot would have worked just fine.

To show off that he has Photoshop, of course!

Not very many people are excited by that anymore...

I think there's a feature in the admincp where you can show banning statistics in a graph, but I might be thinking of registrations.

When people are sad, there faces turn blue! :scared:

The graph is much easier to grip than the list...

they can with the same computer, if they're behind a router, they have a, i think a dynamic IP adress, everytime i restart my router, it says "renewing IP adress"

:(

:D

He got banned because he said that Splinter Cell was made in Montreal.

Mr Deap constantly posted off topic noise and irrelevant nonsense that added little or nothing to threats and despite many requests to stop doing so he threw his toys out of the pram and asked directly to be banned.

However you seem to have a very similar posting style to Mr Deap and you only seem to exist here at GT Planet to defend Mr Deap.

I wonder why that would be??????

he's got something to say:

How do you know he was such a cool guy?:odd:

good point:tup:, he wasn't here so how could he know

but if he wanted to get banned why would he come back?:odd:

goodbye Hatzenbach!

See, you said it again! :p

But yeah, I was sad enough to do a graph...

there's 3 people banned in one day in Feb 2006

This thread is slowly losing its value. Hence why post keep disappearing.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, this thread is for talking about stats and the number of members banned, not abou questioning why a specific member has been banned.

Hopefuly we can continue the conversation on topic.
