I wanted to know what the rule for people evaiding bans is? On the forum I moderate, evaiding bans is taken quiet seriously and often results in an IP ban...

GT4HERO was recently banned for some outragous flaming and insulting and I suspect he has returned... as drift_lord, I suspect this because of similarities in two of his posts on the Drift Forum... He's also posted an entry in my DPC, and if this is him, I feel his pic should be excluded...

Please investigate this guys.

I feel he should be given a second chance, as many people who are banned for the first time are anyway. I suppose if he does it again he should be given an "IP" (pernament) ban, but this is totally the mods decition, depending on how bad the offence was.

Edit: His first account isn't banned anyway. :odd:

I'm a previously banned GTP user.

As far as I know, if the mods know that you're willing to make your second account worthwhile and put an effort into your time on GTP then they are fine. If you start playing up again then of course you will be banned and depending on how serious, forced to stay away (ie: IP ban)

For sure GT, Second chances should always be given!!!

Funny thing is, this guy called us all names and said he couldn't care for the site and was only really online because he was sick and bored... Is that someone we want around??? Personally, I want people with constructive input and personality and a love for the game and this community around... Not people who say things like this dude did about the site...

If that is what he said - Then I'll have to agree with you.. Sayings like that should result in an IP ban.. Again.. And as always - IMHO...

Let me POINT you to it... Only problem is, that particular post was deleted... :indiff:

But yeah, it has plenty of ****'s in it, which I assume are the language filters... lol

:irked:

That's a very useful and contributing member of the society.....

It seems the moderators are onto his case already ;)

In the future just report anybody like him to the moderators and wait for them to sort the situation out, rather then making a thread concerning a troubling member ;)

To confirm: Usually, if a banned member re-registers, they're immediately on their last warning. This is quickly breached, and they're back off to the wilderness.

There are times when a member will rejoin and transform themselves so completely that we won't even know! And there are times whenit's patently obvious what's going on.

The case to which you refer is currently being investigated.

If you notice something like this in future, could you please send one of the Moderators/Administrators a Private Message about it?

Hi ViXeN,

Way ahead of you there :sly: The new identity was spotted and duly noted. It makes no difference if you try to evade a ban by creating a new identity, as that identity will be treated/reported in exactly the same way as the original identity.

For sure GT, Second chances should always be given!!!

But for the record, GT4HERO was not and is not banned.
