So who here has this game for XBOX? There is a nice discussion for this game in the PC Forum, so I thought I'd see if anyone has this for XBOX. I just picked this up for $32 at Media Play's going out of buisiness sale today...haven't even played it yet. Off I go to try it out!

:lol: Heck yeah this is one of the best FPS combat shooters I have ever played online. My GF and I play all the time. New download content just came out yesterday too. Now you can drive snowmobiles.
Yes I have posted a lot in the PC thread about this game since there wasnt a thread for the xbox version. Graphics arent the greatest but flying helicopters, driving tanks and other vehicles is sooo much fun. There is a lot of strategy involved if you want a succesful game. My favorite part is how there are 5 different soldiers to choose from and each one has their own set of guns and responsibilities. I use the engineer to fix tanks, set vehicle mines and my girlfriend uses the guy that heals himself. He is also the one that sends the mortar attacks. 👍👍
You will usually find us in the conquest modes. Thats where you have anywhere between 5-8 flags and you try to take them over. Each team starts at a different side of the map.
I only know where the air strike is on 1 map "Backstab". One of our favorite maps is 'Little Big Eye"

Its a great game, i have a lack of live though but it still makes an ace single player game.

Let me know what night or day you want to play and I can show you all the good stuff. You can pick exactly what maps and what game type you want to play. Once you get into a good room you will be hooked. :dopey:
The single player is pretty good but Live is where all the fun is.
 
This really is a good game, tried the PS2 version and wasn't impressed, though I gave it a chance on the xbox. Takes some time gettin use to but I've fell in love with it, single player is awesome. I don't have live so I can't comment on the multiplayer part of the game.

Way way better. Really no comparison at all. You cant even fly helicopters or drive vehicles at all in Call of Duty. Not even on the xbox360 version.
I played some great games with TVR&Ferrari_Fan last night. Good times!!!! We had a killer team put together last night. :)
I finally got to blow up an enemy by putting a land mine in one of the cars by using the sunroof. :lol:

The single player is really fun buy your right, online is wayyyy better. Thats how it is for almost every xbox game. :)
 
I will try to get on late tonight with you. Last night I found a cool way to find the exact game modes that we want to play. Conquest mode is always the best. CTF isnt quite as fun usually.
Before you go online it will say something at the top like "Quick Match" and "Optimum" or something like that. If you hit quick match you could be thrown into anything. If you go to the other one you can set preferences for what you want to play. Conquest is the most fun. Try that one. :)
THe controls are very strange at first but once you play for a little while you will get used to it. If you have questions (which im sure you will because this game has soo much stuff to do) then I can help you tonight.
Plumbsaround and I had some really really good games last night. :) We had a killer team together that communicated real well.
-Black button is the parachute.
-If you hear "Air strike has been initiated" RUN LIKE HELL!!! :lol:
 
I have to make a correction. I played with "Plumbsaround" last night not TVR_Fan. :dunce: TVR_Fan has the PC version.
 
i didnt play single player yet but i did get on live and got owned lol :scared:

first round i killed 1 guy and got killed once, 2nd round i killed 1 guy and got killed 10 times lol.

i did drive a tank wich was pretty cool, there is a incar camera and outside camera.

Its just like any other game. The first few games you play you will get owned. Then once you find the soldier you like and keep using him, you will start owning. Its not uncommon for Heather and I to have at least 20-30 points per game. Usually we are the top few people in each game. We still have bad games now and then but most of the time we do well.
Which mode did you play?? As I stated before, Conquest is the best. The objective is to try and hold as many flags as possible. You get 3 points for taking a flag, and 1 point for helping take a flag. You also get 1 point for each person you kill. If there are multiple team mates by the flag you can take it a lot faster.
Heather uses the soldier that heals himself and heals others. I think he is called the "Support". Its nice to have her by you when your getting shot. That guy also can call in mortar strikes which is a nice way to clear a flag out really quick of enemies.
I use the "engineer". He has a rocket launcher, shot gun, and has land mines. He can also heal tanks. Yeah thats really cool.
The other night when I was on the map called "Backstab", I hit a jump with the hummer and flew over one of the buildings right onto another hummer. :lol:
If you are going to be on tonight I will leave work early so we can go kill some people. :D

If you get a chance check out the single player for at least 5 minutes. Its quite fun and different than any other single player game I have ever seen. The "Y" button for the hot swap is a really cool feature. It allows you to swap across the map instantly to another team mate.
 
I've got like 24 or so hours of play time on this game and have advanced to the rank of "Chief Warrant Officer", with about 60 PPM and 4 medals/3 Ribbons. And I actually EARNED all my medals instead of cheating like most of the losers on there. Everytime I get on a game with some people trying to get medals by cheating.:rolleyes: It sucks when you're actually trying to function as a team and half your guys are off in the corner of the map trying to get a healing medal or something.

The first 4 or 5 hours I was on there I was getting obliterated.:scared: I still don't understand why I can unload five or six rounds into a guy's chest only to have him hit me once and I die, even when I have full health.:confused: Some of those guys on there must have NO life outside of FPS games.:lol:

CFM. If you joined us tonight I think we would have a great team together with a lot of cooperation. We could care less about medals. My GF and I only have 1 medal each. We just play the game and try to get as many flags as possible and have a great time.
Look for my name on your friends list tonight and join us. We will be on after 5:30 pm until around 11:00pm. Mabey later if we are having a great time. :) 👍
 
I don't know if this the same as the PC version, but when you play as a medic you can kill people with the shock paddles.

Nope must not be the same. No shock paddles.
In the xbox version my girlfriends soldier usually pulls out some needle looking gun and just gives herself a shot or another soldier. Its actually really cool to see her healing herself. She is a very valuable soldier when your getting shot all the time in the game. It also helps that shes my GF and I try to protect her as much as possible. :)
 
im not sure what map i played but it was conquest mode and i captured 2 flags, it was a cool map with water in the middle, kinda looked like a blown up city.

how do people cheat ??? there are people on my friends list with 8 metals and no points ???

I need to buy myself another headset as my wee bro broke my last one 2 weeks after he broke my original. Grr ! I love BF2 such a great game and I specialise in engineer, taking the tanks and even helicopters out with the Launcher. Nothing like setting some mines up at the enemy base and watching their tanks blow up also. Not so good for close combat though, damn shotgun.
 
Thanks for posting my stats DG I was trying to find them online but didnt have any luck. Oh man that map you played is friggin awesome. Ive only seen it twice since I started playing online. I forgot the name of it but yeah its cool but really hard.
So far for tonight it looks like we will have at least 4 people in our group.
What soldier do you use DG? Did you figure out how to turn the flags on when your online so you can see where they are at? Its right direction on the D pad. I think mabey its up. SOmething like that.

i only used the sniper (sniper rifle is my favorite weapon) and yes i figured out how to switch weapons and turn the flag map on, im going to be on most of the day because i have tonight off but im not sure at what times i will be on or how late, it all depends on what the wife and kids are doing ;)

The sniper will come in handy for when their team tries to set up snipers. I hardly ever grab it unless I see their sniper owning people. Then I wil die, grab the sniper soldier and take him out. Thats what I love about this game. No one has any advantage in this game at all. Not even tanks or Helicpters.
Your sniper can take out any vehicle. One of your weapons will send a laser strike to anything it locks onto. To lock on just point it at the vehicle and hold down the button until it completely locks on. Once it sais you locked on a missle will come down and blow it up. When you go to pick weapons it is on the left. I believe smoke bomb is top, sniper is middle, right is pistol. Damn I cant believe I remember almost all of the characters guns. :lol:
Sometimes people jump out of the helicopter and parachute onto tall buildings to snipe. Have fun today and get some practice. We will be on from around 5:30 to at least 11:00. 👍
 
I am trying to find our stats online but im not having any luck. I checked xbox.com and the EA site. I used to check my halo 2 stats and my timesplitters 3 stats but now I forgot how. :dunce:
CFM how did you get your stats from online?
I was able to see that Driftgod was playing online when I signed into xboxlive. Then I went to friends list and it showed who was online and what they are playing. I am at work and saw all that. Pretty cool.
 
That was a LOT of fun last night. Driftgod, my girlfriend, Diablo, and I were all in this game last night. It was easily the most fun heather and I have had in this game so far. Its soo much better when you have more people you know. We had a room with people that communicated well and were very friendly. We were able to vote for every single map we wanted. Every game was lag free but we did get booted off twice which was no big deal after about 5 hours of playing.
Heather and I averaged anywhere between 25-50 points per game even when she was on the opposite team as me. She is definetly better than I am but its still good times!!! :cheers:

I tried inviting CFM (miata todd) in at least 7 or 8 times but every time it said your rank was too high. :indiff: Mabey next time we can do an unranked only room and we can all play together.

It will be even more fun when Driftgod gets a new controller and can talk to us the entire game. :sly: Good job with your 4 medals. 👍
 
last night was alot of fun, the only thing i dont like about this game is the fact that you cant make your own room.

some of the maps are very creative, one has a huge submarine hidden underground i think the map is called "HIDDEN".

i will get a new controller tomarow, i need one to play FORZA, TIGER WOODS, and this game.

i only have 2 medals, but thanx.
