One of my favorite things to do on Bad Company was having a distance shooting match with tanks. Blowing up a tank far away is so fun.
 
Blowing a tank with C4 is more satisfying :)

Tracer Darts all over your mates back is equally as fun.

I pre-ordered the Limited Edition from Gamestop last night but got shafted. They gave out all of their beta keys early. Anyone on here happen to grab multiple keys from Best Buy? **** me gently and call me Rachel. This game will be amazing.
 
I was playing Battlefield 1943 this afternoon and got an email stating that I could participate in the Bad Company 2 Beta, did anyone get this email via PSN? I signed up for it and it looks legit. My wife and son did not get an invite for the Beta test.
 
As long as the e-mail doesn't ask you for any information it should be fine, but i can't be 100% sure. All it should have for you is the code to redeem the demo online.

If anything, e-mail or call EA's customer service and i'm sure they'll help you out.
 
I've only got an email about a free trial for netflix on the PS3.
 
I have the website, but don't want to post it until I confirm it is legit. If you guys want it PM me and I will send it to you. I put a post on the BC site on Facebook but have not got a response yet.
 
Please PM me anything you get on a lead for a Bad Company 2 beta key. I pre-ordered this game so I could give the beta key to my brother as a gift for his birthday. He's pissed right now lol.
 
Got one from there the other day I hope they (PSN shop) are not checking IP address :D

The beta and download is live... just under a gig in size and I wont be home to download it for another 6 hours... so be keen to hear first impressions.

I got the beta keys myself, Looks damn good compared to the first one.
 
Got a Beta key as well :) If I can peel myself away from MW2 i'll try it over the weekend 👍 Loved the first game!

I just signed up for the gamespot forum and got a code right away before I posted my previous post. Did that not work out for you? Just click on the link 888 tuning posted.

I'm definitely getting the PC version in march. Well, as long as my PC can handle it (still waiting for the minimum specs). There will be an open beta next month for the PC version too but I don't doubt it will be for NA and EU only. Anyway, there will be a demo in January so I'll get to test it then.

By the way, could we move this thread to the Console & PC Gaming section since this isn't a PS3 exclusive?
 
How exactly do i download the beta once i have a key?

Apparently the codes are NA only, not EU :/

Aww I got all hyped up, it was on GS.co.uk so I thought it's for EU. Too bad...

guys guys guys... !!

The codes are for North America download.... Im in Aus and have already been online playing...

Get your code, then on your PS3 setup a new user account using a US address... apparantly I live in beverly hills 90210. <-- this step takes 5 mins only !
Once you download it just go back to your normal account and play.. it will even download the update released.


... AND THE LINK I POSTED IS STILL GIVING OUT KEYS !!!


As for the game itself... WOW.. !! Dusty, hot ... real.

Its a Goldrush map, the obvious question is going to be is it better than MW2... the educated gamer wont compare them as they are 2 very different games... Its going to be tough to decide which to play :D

I went for the thing that 888 Tuning said. Wow! It's quite a bit improved, and the graphics are gorgeous! It's a definite buy for me now. 👍

Just downloaded and installed! Got tired of BF1943 (no updates!!!)

Definite improvements! Im up to Corporal Gold now :) Sound/Ambiance is just top notch! I really prefer recoil of the guns in this game compared to MW2. Im still trying to figure out the upgrades.. but so far so good. I'll play some more and give feedback.

The sounds feel absolutely spot on (if that can be possible) I'm liking this a lot.
A little laggy from Aus at times, but I still have a solid KD ratio.
Its a little easy to camp which really racks up the kills.. I think at the moment theres a few noobs playing too :)

Bring on the full version !!
