With the final episodes now airing, I thought this would be a good time to dust off this thread.

SPOILERS AHEAD






The last two parter, "The Oath" and "Blood on the Scales" blew my mind. Just when I thought the writers couldn't up the ante anymore, they come up with another nail biting couple of episodes. The idea of a mutiny on Galactica is so simple and obvious, I'm surprised it's taken this long for it to happen. The writers did a good job of holding this idea back until now though.

Anyone else surprised by Racetrack joining the mutiny? I never would have suspected. Narcho, sure. Seelix, I can see. But Racetrack's involvement --to the point where she was ready to stand by and watch Charlie Connor execute Lee on the spot -- was a shock.

I loved that they thought of pulling Kelly out of the brig and then have him switch sides. It really shows that RDM and crew want even the minor characters to tell a meaningful and compelling story. The scene in the memorial hall was simple, quick and effective.

Any guesses on what will happen to Anders? I'm thinking he's going to die in sickbay and go to Final Five Download City --it would make sense that they have their own resurrection hub. Maybe he'll met up with Ellen Tigh there and that's how they'll work her in.

Speaking of Ellen ---anyone else a little disappointed that she's the final one? I was actually sorta hope it would be Roslyn.

I think Ellen is perfect for the job. Saul/Ellen ties in well with Chief/Boomer both being skin job couples too.

Just watched the latest episode last night. Wow. Explains a lot of stuff yet throws out a whole new bunch of questions too. These last few episodes are going to be classics, i can't wait!

I loved the mini series and season 1. They were starting to pick up steam in the final season, but then the very last episode just killed the entire show. It casts the whole show in a new and awful light. I've never seen a show snatch defeat from the jaws of victory quite as badly as this one did.
 
It just occurred to me that the final episode of battlestar would make a great Hilter subtitle spoof.

Just started watching this over the weekend on Netflix. Only a few episodes in, but it's pretty much got me hooked. Of course I'm a sci-fi junkie, so most shows/movies of this nature just grab me and pull me in. Not sure why I haven't watched it before, guess I just thought it might be cheesy? In any case, I will update when I finish all the episodes, which won't be for a while.

Does anyone know if all the episodes on Netflix are the whole series? I think there's 73 episodes on there. I just finished the one last night where Saul Tigh was standing in the water on Earth and realized that his wife was the last of the final 5.
 
Nevermind, finished the Series on Monday night. Screw the ending is all I have to say. Not just the meaning behind it, but I really hate when something so dragged out (over 5 seasons) just ends so abruptly. :grumpy:
