Watched several video's since yesterday trying to get a feel for what is on offer, they've put me off in a big way. I cant see me getting fun out of a driving game that requires near constant menu dipping. Sometimes less is more in gaming, for those who want to open a glove box or sun roof... enjoy... yawn. It was the crash physics that was drawing me in, however crashing then jumping into menu's straight after that's not a gameplay loop its drudgery imo. I can see how folks have many hours in it, its clear now large parts of it are not actually driving though. Maybe in a couple of years it will become something of note, it is original in many ways.

21,99 in Austria. Very ok.

.... and now le reviews please. :-)

Great price point, but its like buying a fancy demo. Has 4 cars only on screen which seems a bit lean for racing. Im not convinced because the game seems really unstructured. Im not inclined to make my own fun, the reviewer was excited about trying things out with set ups which means heavy menu time. There will be a market for this lots of sim folks might be satiated with it, im happy for you if thats the case. Might be worth waiting to see if limited mods arrive though, apparently thats kept it fresh for the PC crowd.

Looks good apart from the loading times. At that price I think there's enough to maintain interest. Sometimes you just want to drive around like in GTA, but with realistic physics and crashes. The rally looks interesting as well. Once I finish with Galactic Racer I'll pick this up.

Hopefully Automation Car Tycoon will be ported to PS5 so we could drive our own cars like on PC.

Finally, after I got game on 16th, every evening would come update of 300MB and all of my progress in game would reset, as the time played too.
Game even wasn't in games played list, and there were no trophies, although I got them in game - that never happened me before with any other game, no matter how many days before release I got it.

At last, today came fourth update, again 300MB and everything was same, I had to go from beginning with tutorial, but this time, accumulated game played time showed, as the trophies and game on the list...

But still sceptical what waits me tomorrow, will everything reset again?

One and only one good thing I can say about this half-product is fantastic damage model!
They of course don't have licensed vehicles, so it's possible.

Had a go for a few hours now, its all a bit overwhelming at the minute, the menus are extremely in depth and a bit of a pain on PS5 but the physics and damage model are amazing.

Sure it has frame rate issues and the world can only handle so much traffic on console but for £19 it's a steal in my opinion.

Never thought this would come to console, very glad i held off buying it for SteamDeck.

BeamNG would have been a day one purchase for me, regardless. I have always been interested in this title, but I didn't have a beefy enough PC to run it. The fact that the developers got this to run on console is remarkable.

If you know what you are buying into, you won't be disappointed. Don't expect a AAA title, because it is far from that. It's in Alpha and has been since 2013. However, there is a ton of content in the base game. The game gets major updates roughly 3 to 4 times a year. Opening up the player base to console can only be a huge positive for the development of this title. I am excited to see what the future holds.

I am playing on a base PS5 and my experience thus far has been good. The UI can be a bit much and overwhelming at first, but once you figure it out, it's smooth sailing. There is just so much you can customise. The crash physics are amazing. I spent so much time just overheating clutches and blowing up engines.

In my 5 or so hours of gameplay, I have experienced some buggy UI and one hard crash to the console home screen. The majority of my playtime has been on the DualSense and it plays very well. I have tested out the wheel. It does feel good, however I need to tweak the FFB to my liking. I also need to bind functions to my wheel, which does seem like a daunting task.

For the price point, I honestly think it's well worth it. I can see myself spending hours in this title just cruising the open world maps.

If you love a driving game, it's a must buy!

Had an hour yesterday with half of the tutorial (the moment you scratch the surface of the UI, that feels very unintuitive, but maybe it's jst the sheer amount of options) and a bit of just driving around.

Coming weekend i'll try the more structures stuff like Rallye.

My feeling: this will need time to wrap my head around.

I got it yesterday for PS5. Gameplay feels really good, but the menu navigation is slow, spongy in a way and it takes...patience.
But the physics and fun you can have with it makes up for it.

Trying to develop a bit in the career now, bought first car and doing the initial Motorsport Challenges, cannot wait to take however my own car to the track to give it a go. Later this week I guess. Still a lot to try, Rally looks so good as well...

Game got 0.40.1 version today with another 300MB update!

From 16th, every day 300MB update...

Got one game freeze that I reported.

Physics are fantastic, as well as damage model and great sound, but graphics needs huge textures update...
Fix is needed for HDR too, that is like there isn't.

But I played and took few screens:

The entire world 1:1 with traffic and real time weather is being worked on.

Hopefully literally every race track that exists being in one free mod won't cause copyright issues and I'm sure it will need an insanely powerful PC to run well but no matter what I think this is the start of a new era in racing games.
With how many game mashups are possible now and GT7 having an Ai generated PC port looking promising, I think people who want an open world will eventually get their wish one for one!

Man, offroading is hard in this game!
