For me, it was the people (@CallmeDan, @Doodle, @Doog, @Ferraridude308, @Firehound427, @Ridox2JZGTE, @superstreet556, @TheKitten, numerous others I'm forgetting) as well as a slight, ever so slight, feeling of 'new' to the GT franchise during the end of GT5's lifespan as well as the weak start of GT6. (Hybrids anyone ?)
That's what made the concept behind all of the shenanigans & good times interesting for me. But then the tracks never changed with seasons, the cars never got updated like they (PD) said, and things got stale. Y'all know the rest and I'm too lazy to type it all out.

In the area I'm in, there's somehow only one ISP. and they services are very bad. High cost for low speeds. It's a trap! Well that explains my lagging

ISP's are loads of baloney. Internet should be fast & free to everyone...but there's a potential to make money, so they charge you.
The only thing that should limit your speed is the equipment, nothing else.
