I like to keep things simple, not dwelling over a question like that for a long time..

Brought this car home today, adding another car to the stable. I guess money's changing hands tomorrow. It's a 96 Corolla w/ 48k miles, near new looking interior, very tight car. Only bad points are a little rust in the rear arches and a dent in the hatch.

This will just be a driver that starts up and goes every time I need it, no massive plans for it... Will be taken out on nice days in the winter when I feel like it or when the daily van isn't available.

Well...not bad. Looks about like what I've got, except more wax and less hail damage.

Why do you choose a van instead of this?

Basically to keep the Corolla good and fresh :) The van is my winter daily, but as I don't own it I need a backup car for the days it's not available. My workshop is a 60 mile drive away, I usually bring some parts with me or carry a lot so the van is way handier:

Parked behind a really tiny car.. haha

I dont know that boot looks mighty capable. ;)
Good deal all around though.

Nice car man. Love that blue color. My mother uses a '99 sedan version of this car, as a daily. Even though it only has a 1.6ltr (1.8?) they have got a bit of stig in them, if you put your foot down. Very nice once again. 👍

Of course I will.. :) Maybe I'll even have some pics up one day, haha.

Only 48k? Impressive!

That's how it always starts...

Yeah, and planning to keep it low.. :)
It's how it starts yeah, how I now got four useless project cars :ouch:

Hey, just had an idea. Stick it on a DYNO and tell us what pops up. Would love to know what these things put out ;)

Nawww, dang. :yuck: Awful numbers! Hmm, by the way, since we are on the subject, I saw a guy in one of these the other day. Tricked out like you wouldn't believe. Shame I didn't get a picture. He had the whole works. Roof scoop, hood scoop, something like a 4.5 or 5 inch exhaust. I think he had a turbo charger or something on it 'cause it's akin to a ....a....umm.....2009 Golf GTI! To die for.
