Hi guys, can anyone help me tune a 66 beetle for drag racing please.
Seriously, there are enough threads throughout the forums to get a clue.say you dont know anything about setting up the tranny, theres a transmission guide, right here in the forums. Suspension,go to test track and tune it off your ghost car image.Say you dont know how to ghost tune either? Start by asking for how to tune off ghost. So youve learned where to tune at,got a transmission guide on here, you got cars, evidently you got internet, and most importantly, you can read. All the elements and variables needed for you to tune a beetle. There is always the option however,of standing on a corner holding a cardboard sign saying"will work for tunes". Already enough charity tunes being posted for drag, although theyre not that good, still, learn how to tune people.
It would be refreshing to see a "teach me to tune" thread on here instead of the all too common "gimme a tune" threads that all seem to end the same way.
Just my 2 cents.
look at the drag forum and you will see 1/4mile transmission tuning for dummies(illistrated) i am not saying that you are stupid but it is a great start to learn tranny tunes and if you can perfect that you should be in good shape. hope it helps.
lol, you've missed my point completelylook at the drag forum and you will see 1/4mile transmission tuning for dummies(illistrated) i am not saying that you are stupid but it is a great start to learn tranny tunes and if you can perfect that you should be in good shape. hope it helps.

You're not looking for help. You're looking for a tune.I'm just looking for a quick and effective tune, I don't want to look everywhere, I thought someone could help me.
I agree show a little Intrest hang out with other Drag Racer's an be very willing to Learn,Learning is about trial an Error(practice makes perfect),not a hand out so u can lobby jump saying your the fastest on some1 else's Tune experience is everything, luck is for the ill prepared.....It would be refreshing to see a "teach me to tune" thread on here instead of the all too common "gimme a tune" threads that all seem to end the same way.
Just my 2 cents.
you can help yourself by doing it yourself....I'm just looking for a quick and effective tune, I don't want to look everywhere, I thought someone could help me.
As I said earlier, these "gimme a tune" threads always end the same way, if a noob (and I'm not saying your a noob) was to start a thread wanting to learn how to tune, I reckon there would be several experienced tuners on here that would be more than happy to helpthat is the only realistic way to get a tune... just saying.
I was being tactfully nice, dont worry about it,point is,drag tunes are made, not an entitlementYou could have been a little nicer about that.![]()
