Der Alta
Swift and I have been discussing this on a regular basis. Jordan knows of the situation, and is contemplating action.

Last I head DR was wrapped up in school.

We've bantered a few ideas back and forth, and know that this place needs a Moderator. I hate to say that, as we had all hoped that the long established members would get the respect they deserve from the new members. That doesn't seem to happen, so I'm searching through the posts to find an appropriate member to make an example of.

Oh wait... Here's one now.

What will happen in the near future, will benefit the members of GTplanet, as well as the Drifting forum.

For the very near future, please don't hesitate to drop me a PM, or (preferably) hit the report button. Many of the moderators worked hard to establish the GT3 Drifting forum as the premier knowledge spot for Drifting. Jordan and the rest of the staff want the same thing to happen with this forum. Having the quality members who are long established here, means we should draw in the best possible members.

I expect it, I want it, and we all need it.

Thanks,

AO
We also forgot PMs the vets for any question

Nuts, I knew I forgot something.

One of the greatest resources we have here at GTplanet are the Veterans members. MOst all are willing to carry on a PM conversation if you word it appropriately and are respectful of their knowledge.

So if you've got any questions and you want to PM a member, feel free to hit NK4E with all your questions ;)

Guys, I have some good news. I don't want to name names, but we'll have a well established friend coming in very soon to help still the storm and quench the fire.

So just sit tight, follow Der Alta's advise and keep the respect level high.

so..... do i get a prize for being your example??? ill tell ya... i really do feel honored.. ^_^ i know not many new comers can get the attention of the vets around here.....i hope i may set a prime example for all...... to show you what NOT to be! =P

Well said Der Alta.

I'm not grand on PM convos, as it fills my box, but pretty much anyone can hit me up on AIM or MSN and talk with me if they want. As long as they are not just being extremely annoying with leet speak and what not.

As Der Alta said, click that report button if you feel the need. And don't comment on a poor post if someone else already has... its usually not needed.

We've got some good people around here, we just need some way to make it clear they actually have some idea what they are talking about to those that aren't so clear on things.

Either way, a mod would be a good thing in this section, though who is the question.

well im not a kind of guy who would put down anyone just because they would say something stupid.. if you are that kind of person you should really be ashamed of yourself :( but hey from now on at least think about it.. Everyone was once a noob

Well, considering I pretty much instigated the situation that brought out Ten's comment above, I feel i should comment on this. I admit that i was being a nit-picky jack ass, and I DID call out EP3_DC5 on his multiple pictures, but when my post came up he had already fixed his pics, so i went back and removed my comment directed at him. It was out of line and not really that necessary.

YES! I'm sweet and so are you!

is that suppose to be a threat.... and if i get banned for jokin around.. then so be it... not like ill die from it....
Maybe you should read the TOS and the AUP? Because I'm guessing that as most new members don't do, you didn't read them either. Don't get me wrong - I didn't read them at first, but I have read them.

TOS
AUP

The simple solution to this problem is that everyone shows maturity - but that is near impossible to recieve from a large online forum as this. I can't really speak too much on the problems going on in this forum, as I haven't ever really visited it (I think this is my first time - the thread title was intriguing) in the past. But in all honesty - if everyone can act maturely, new members and veterans alike, the problems shouldn't be as bad.

is that suppose to be a threat.... and if i get banned for jokin around.. then so be it... not like ill die from it....

Lets hope that is true 👍

maybe a mod should just close this topic before we all get too soft or start arguing again haha, then again stating your own opinion wasnt really bad unless if it's really mean then you should really keep it to yourself... i mean hey.. thats what gossiping is for ;)

Why even bother catagorizing ourselves? I'm not a drifter, or a gamer. I enjoy games, and I enjoy drifting. Why do I have to be called a gaming drifter? Keep the peace, and people will enjoy the forums alot better.
