One of the best movies I have ever seen. I am not going to say anything about the story. The plot is so basic and complicated at the same time. Gene Hackman scores a hit with his valuable representation of a Carrier Commander and lets not forget about Owen Wilson and his represantion of a f-18 navigator. For the first time the director gets to correctly portrate how a group of eastern para-militars look like, not the typical unknown and long haired blond faces we get to see. We dont have the main character of the movie carrying big guns or the best odds to him too like those Die Hard, Chuck Norris movies. It is the right mix of realism-Hollywood style. I personally love the audio-music settings on this movie too. A must-see.

I actually thought this movie lacked plot, in the first ten minutes he gets behind enemy lines, then for 2 hours you see people trying to get him back on their side.

very very dry

I dont think the rest of ur "ten minutes" are the same thing. Is more like we get to see the everyday life of eastern people.
A movie that lacks plot is "The fast and the furious"

umm... why is it that in every war movie like this 30 people have machine guns, and they are all 20 feet from eachother, but NOONE can seem to hit ANYONE... these movies suck!!!
