Bentley Barnato (EXP 10 Speed 6 concept) - coming 2018

That is a pretty interior.

Idk what's browser-breaking about the pictures though :p

It was quite interesting, obviously most of it was official secrets act, and when your customer is the Sultan of Brunei you take it pretty seriously, but I got to see a lot of the concept renderings mostly because at that stage I was hoping to one day become a render artist :D

Most of the cars have since been exposed anyway, this site (not English) covers quite a few http://svammelsurium.blogg.se/2009/may/bentleys-som-man-inte-trodde-fanns.html

Dad had a number of roles before and after the RR & BMC split, and during his career also worked for British Leyland, Lada cars, the Rover Group, Daewoo, Toyota and a top notch coach builder. He has some interesting stories about most, especially Lada. The downside was most of the company cars were crap!

Edit: @Nessy it's oddly satisfying making stuff like that isn't it. Probably the closest I got was hand making some bits for the McMerc SLR 722, and for an un-named MSO project.
I imagine your dad may have liaised with the company i used to work for, as they did a lot of bespoke stuff too (RR, Bentley, Morgan, etc etc).

Cool link BTW, have'nt seen any of those before, apart from the 4X4. 👍

Yes it is/was. I took a lot of pride in that job. Wish i'd never left the place..

Working on/ contributing to the McMerc SLR 722, must have felt very satisfying. Knowing that your time, effort and care has gone into that amazing end product. 👍

The 2018 Bentley Continental spy shots. You can clearly see design cues from the EXP 10 concept.

If these spy shots are anything to go by, this will be one of the first Bentley models I've truly liked. All of their other cars are great, but they don't strike anything inside me, or excite me. This is different. It looks Italian, and powerful. :)

Well, the car is gorgeous, but the interior leaves a lot to be desired... like a complete steering wheel. Also, that name is a mouthful. "Bentley Exp 12 Speed 6e Roadster."

The body looks great but both the front and rear lights areas are still 🤬 ugly as 🤬 sin.

Especially the back, makes me ask "what are you squinting at?"

Just freakin' build it already, Bentley.

I actually really like the rear, for probably the same reason I enjoy the AMG GT's: it's very minimal.

That is one sexy car. It probably weighs as much as an aircraft carrier, but it gives the impression that it really hugs the road, even if the tires sound like they are at their grip limits.

I guess the original taillights made it to the exhaust openings and the boot line dictated the use of the Continental style taillights.
