Best 350pp QM Car?

I tried a Peugeot 106 Rallye, and it wasn't that good. The Mazda DEMIO was a bit better, but the CVT drove me nuts and it didn't handle well. The most popular choice is the 2011 Lotus Elise, but are there any other options, and how do you tune/detune them?
