best acceleration car apart from x2010

What kind of distance are we talking about? 1/4 mile acceleration? If so, I would say the FGT is the best, followed by the Veyron and then the Suzuki ESCUDO.

I see. I still stand by my statement. Although if we're talking production cars, the Nissan GT-R SpecV is a serious contender as well as the Lamborghini Murcielago LP-670-4 SuperVeloce. These have an awesome launch since they're 4WD, but they might be overtaken by powerful RWD cars if you turn off traction control and launch in 2nd or 3rd gear. If you launch like this the Ford GT is one of the best like you said.

Ye I agree that sounds absolutely beast 2

I think rear wheel drives do better off the line without traction control

Well, i think 4wd because they have better traction.

I dont like traction controll any way. Seriously dude, why are you starting all this useless threads?

If you tune a CTR2 into the 640+ BHP range, you start to scare people in Vipers off the line, with all the rear grip

The Suzuki Escudo, that car is fast when it comes to acceleration. I use it on short and winding courses when top speed isn't needed. Apart from that, the FGT and the Veyron comes to my mind

It may soud weird but I was very impress with the acceleration of the Gilette Vertigo Race Car, the one from Belgium. I know, it's ugly and drives weird, but the acceleration is amazing... just my 2 cents opinion.

The speed 12 is so awesome..
Not insanely fast off the line, but when you hit like 100 kmh (60 mph), it goes like pure hell up to around 320 kmh (200ish mph). It will destroy vipers, veyrons, and at a certain point it keeps up with x2010 (Obviously not for long - but for a few seconds it does.. Which is pretty impressive tbh).

There's a trick to it though. It has so much torque you can put it in 3rd or 4th gear, rev it up to max and let go.. It will make a huuuge cloud of smoke, and then get grip back eventually.. When that happens, everyone is left behind.

And don't bother trying it with automatic gear.. Manual or nothing, otherwise it will suck both in dragrace and around a track.

I'd think the 908's are also rather quick off the line, if you can gear them properly. Diesels have a lot of low-end torque, so a 2nd gear launch with TC off should work, maybe:odd:

Alot of variables not mentioned i.e. tyres... road cars, race cars etc..

For road cars, I like these two as not many people use them, maybe not ultimately the fastest, but they're different and still very fast.

Audi Le Mans quattro
R35 Tokyo Motorshow concept - 7sp, 4wd, very light for a R35 and no aero to slow it down at higher speed, looks the business too.

I would say that the setup differs abit. A car tuned for good launch, will take almost all cars that are default, or tuned for other purposes, if they are some how equal.

I heard the Fiat 500 might be a contender here. Haha.

Back to reality: I've used an LF-A quite a few times for drag racing even though I don't really do it much. It's good against it's main competitors such as the infamous R35 GT-R. Off the line, the R35 is a tad bit faster but it's only by a foot or two.

It won't destroy Veyrons or keep up with the X2010 aside from the first fraction of a second at launch.

Very quick prize car, but the R92CP accelerates faster than it.

0-100mph a stock tune FGT will beat a stock tune X2010 every time. After that the Redbull will be long gone.

I seriously doubt that...

If you can get the launch perfect it'll compete with Veyrons, but very rarely win. Before gear ratio adjustment I regularly won drag races on the TGTT with my Speed 12 against Veyrons. The only thing that can beat an X2010 in a drag race is another X2010.

Non-race cars-

Veyron
Viper ACR
TVR Speed-12
Nissan GT-R V-spec R35

Race Cars-

Gillet Vertigo
Suzuki Escudo Pikes peak
Toyota Minolta
Nissan R92CP and R89C
Toyota 7
Sauber C9
Mazda 787B

NFSCARBON1

Not possible. The x2010 destroys every car in terms of speed/acceleration.

Its only compitition is another X1.
