Best and Worst Sounding Race Car

Ok now on your take, what in your opinon is the best sounding race car and what is the worst sounding one?

The DTM cars sound pretty bad. Same for the rally cars.
The 787B sounds sweet as does the Spoon S2000 racecar.

PD should be least proud of the CLK LM engine sound. One wonders how they could derive a blender like sample from the thundering bellow that the car produces. Pure guessing.

As the Woodone has lost its bark, I’ll opt for the ‘69 GT40 racecar.

👍 Personally I can't go past the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98, pity it costs an arm and a leg.

Hopefully next time around the engine synthesiser is way more accurate, and as you say for some vehicles, actual engine noises would be greatly appreciated.

I like the way the Lotus Espirit Turbo '87 sounds. But i'm only about 8.3% complete with the game so i guess that explains it.

Well I actually like the CLK GTR but you are right, it sounds so bad but if you own the JGTC NSX's, race with them and there ya go, you have the same sound but I have noticed how yes they have guessed on engine sounds for some cars but what they also have done is the higher pitched Calibra touring car and Mercedes EVO Touring car are just higher pitched sounds of those other cars aka CLK GTR, beautiful cars should have a beautiful sound, play Total Immersion Racing and that game has real Le Mans sound and power and feel

yeah i was kinda disappointed with the f1 noise but i knid of looked past that cause they are so fun to drive.

I would have to say probably the best sounding car in my opinion would have to be the Tickford 2000 Falcon XR8, it sounds very nice but does not look amazing.

You can't call it bad, but the Minolta 88CV was disapointing for me, and I'm sure many others, after hearing it roar past in the intro vid.

Best sounding car? A bit hard to say I think, too many to chose from/list.

The Pagani's sound like Jetsons cars, though.

I really like the sound of the Ford GT40 and the 2003 Pescarolo C60.
I don't really know what the worst would be.

another one i've just thought of, the Merc McLaren SLR

it sounds awful in GT4, it has that sort of wooshy-ness, but it's too high pitched, it sounds nothing like that in real life

Definitely the Karmann Ghia. I have a 79' Beetle and it's actually pretty close to mine. Just doesn't sound as evil when you get it about 3000rpm.
